Duramiles Challenge
We put the Isuzu D-MAX to the test in 2007 by driving from Bangkok to KL using less than a full tank of fuel. Thats 1,501 km on less than a tank! In June 2011, we pushed the D-MAX further. Our range of Isuzu D-MAX pick-ups broke the old record with an incredible drive of 1,600 km on less than a tank. Thats a journey from Bangkok to Ayer Keroh, Malacca with fuel to spare. The D-MAX really does push the limits of fuel efficiency to the max!

The Dakar Rally - quite possibly the toughest, most demanding test for man and machine. On the way to winning this extreme challenge, the Isuzu D-MAX also earned the highest ranking for a 4x4 diesel pick-up. But we didnt stop there. We conquered the most testing terrain to emerge overall champion of the AAM Malaysian 4x4 Rally Championship two years running.

Melt-in Liner
What makes this liner special is the High Frequency Induction Hardening (HFIH) - a special process that melts the cylinder block liners to the block. This 'double-padded' built-in protection keeps the cylinder walls in pristine condition for longer.

These hard-wearing pistons are made from a special heat durable material - Isuzu's High Performance Alloy. With the Thermal Flow Cooling channels, the pistons won't expand under extreme heat conditions and won't come in contact with the walls of the engine. A unique feature in the D-MAX.
