DESCRIPTION
Meso is a 25W programmable LED Driver that combines smart technology and high flexibility features, at a competitive cost. A single channel, constant current LED ballast, Meso is designed for directly powering up LEDs in indoor and outdoor lighting fixtures. Designed in two compact packages to better fit the fixture mechanical aspects, the Meso Series includes 4 electrical models that cover applications from 12V to 56V, with currents from 250mA to 1000mA. The intelligent core of the driver allows programming of the output current in 10mA steps inside the range of each model, which makes the Meso extremely flexible and suitable for different kinds of applications. By converting energy at typical efficiencies up to 86%, the Meso Series makes the thermal management easier in space constrained systems, offering high reliability in environmentally friendly solutions. Meso delivers excellent PF and THD at various working conditions. With the optional Ozone Programming Tool (for analog versions) and the free Meso Toolset Software (for Dali Versions) users can reprogram the output current of the driver and set all the programmable features.

Efficiency and PFC performance

Meso LED Drivers show good efficiency and power factor performance even when operating at low loads. Following are the characteristic plots for the four Meso LED driver base analog models. The tests are performed connecting the Meso LED driver, programmed at the maximum operative current, an LED with the maximum voltage, and dimming with a standard 1-10V dimmer to obtain lower output power conditions.

Inrush Current Data

Due to its very limited Inrush Current peak at power on, Meso LED drivers make selection of overcurrent protection devices such as circuit breakers easier. Referring to the different kinds of Circuit Breakers available on the market, the maximum number of connectable Meso drivers is reported in the following table for each nominal input voltage. Stand-by power consumption

Meso LED drivers offer low stand-by power consumption when the LEDs are switched off. When a DALI driver is used, the LEDs can be switched off from the DALI port (using the DALI off command). The Analog driver, programmed with 0-10V option, can switch off the LEDs when the dimmer voltage is below 0,8V. The typical stand-by power consumption is reported in the following table for each nominal input voltage.
