Manage departmental office, contribute to planning and executing course offerings in academic
semesters, recruitment of full-time and adjunct faculty members for various courses, monitor and
evaluate performance of faculties in addition to regular activity of mentoring students of the institute.
Deliver lectures, evaluate students’ performance, prepare questions for the examinations and examine
students’ answer scripts for Textile Raw Materials course of the One Year Certificate Course in Textile
Technology program.
Advisory Services for Textiles & Apparel, BQSP, United Nations Industrial Development Organization, Dhaka
Director of Training and Advisory Services (September 2008 – June 2009)
Provide advice on Training and Education matter, especially to NITTRAD, BITT, iART and BIFT under
the framework of Bangladesh Quality Support Programme (BQSP), funded by EU and implemented by
UNIDO.
Day to day management of Advisory Services for Textiles & Apparel of Bangladesh (ASTAB) to UNIDO
procedures:
a) ASTAB Promotion: Promoting services via ASTAB website and directly with companies in
cooperation with the trade associations (e.g. BTMA, BGMEA, BKMEA).
b) Staffing ASTAB: Selection and short-listing of candidates for permanent and panel posts in
ASTAB, according to UNIDO procedures; recommending candidates to MOT&J for their final
selection and approval.
c) Managing projects: Managing all project contracts with clients and working on some projects.
Informing clients of the progress of their projects and ensuring they are satisfied with the results.
d) Reporting: Preparation and submission of Monthly progress reports to the Project Manager
(UNIDO, Vienna) and the Chief Technical Advisor (BQSP) and Quarterly reports and presentations
to the Steering Committee.
