INTRODUCTION
Oregano is common in the Philippines because of its unique scent and it as a remedy to common colds. This plant contains high content of phenolic acid and flavonoids. Phenolic acid and flavonoids are essential to mosquito repellants. The distinctive fragrance is effective in warding off parasites and a powerful mosquito repellent.
Oregano, scientifically named Origanum vulgare by Carolus Linnaeus, is a common species of Origanum, a genus of the mint family. It is native to warm-temperate western and southwestern Eurasia and the Mediterranean region.

Hypothesis If the product is effective then we can decrease the no. of patients and we can save a life.

Significance Since we only have a use of the product as a remedy for cold then we will expand our knowledge enable to know new capabilities of the oregano. To know how effective the product observing the quality of the product.
Scope and delimitation The study involves the school garden, it will serve as the sources of the experimental species. It will also include the school laboratory where we can make and test the product.
Review of related literature Oregano is a medicinal herb known for its antioxidant and anti-microbial, anti-parasitic properties. It is used for the treatment of indigestion problems, muscle pain, insect bites, and menstruation symptoms, bacterial and fungal infections.

Methodology Preparation of laboratory equipments and the experimental species Materials The laboratory equipments needed in the experiments include: mortar and pestle, beaker (200 ml), essential oil (your choice), incense sticks, alcohol (70 % solution), medicinal droppers, and tongs.
Procedure Sterilize materials to handle proper quality of the product. Wash the laboratory equipments and air-dry.
In this lab activity you need to have your oregano leaves washed. Using the available paper put them in a flat area away from the sun at room temperature for air drying.
Pulverize the dried oregano with the use of mortar and pestle. Next, Mix 20 grams of gum, 4 spoons of crushed charcoal, and 10 spoons of crushed dried oregano, then add the oregano extract and add hot water to make paste like consistency and then mix thoroughly in a bowl. Place in a molder. Harden the mixture.

Go in an area where mosquitoes are frequently seen. Test the product by burning the coil. Observe the following: dizziness, coughing, and no. of mosquito died. The life span of the product, and the area covered.
