And the war on terrorism or the so-called naming the long war
is a military campaign , economic and media led the United
States and with the participation of allied nations and aimed at
the eradication of terrorism and presidencies that support
terrorism . This campaign started after the attacks of
September 11, 2001 that al-Qaeda had a role and has
become a central focus in the policy of former U.S. President
George W. Bush, both internally and externally , the problem of

In May 2010 decided the administration of President Barack
Obama to abandon the term " war on terror" and focus on what
is described as " domestic terrorism " , and that its new strategy

Islam " , but is a war on a specific network is al-Qaeda and"
terrorists " associated with it.
