The trends of spending leisure time

care has lately evolved into a lifestyle

still is under development, will debut at
the Global Pet Expo.

pet products makes sense, Fick
said, for retailers including
some in the mass market who
dont carry traditional pet products such as dog food. With pet
dcor, they can establish an
additional revenue stream in a

growing market by introducing


items that effectively correspond to their existing product
assortment.
Fick noted that pet dcor, as
a proposition for, say, department stores, offers an opportunity to play in a category that

has a 5% growth rate in


higher income demographics that overlays well with
those retailers.
Where pet-related products already are sold, pet
dcor introduces already
committed consumers with
a way to further integrate
pets into their lifestyles.
Pet specialty is perfectly
aligned to take advantage
of trends of home dcor-based product, Fick
said, in way of example.
When people walk into
their homes now, the food
storage bin doesnt match
anything else in the house,
the water and feeder bowls
are not aesthetically pleasing, you have pink pet toys
could have all those things
and could have them integrated into the home, why
