Ethics and the Environment and Job Discrimination All of us are responsible to take care of our environment whether

you are an individual, family, small businesses or as large as corporations. We have no excuse but to take care of our environment. Currently, we are experiencing global warming which has caused heavy rains in different seasons, floods, unpredictable weather, landslides and other calamities. This global warming is caused by man-made pollution due to greenhouse gases methane, carbon dioxide, water vapor, nitrous oxide, halocarbons and chloroflourcarbons. We are experiencing the effects of what we have done in our environment. !t is not too late to start on our own to take care of our environment. "or companies, they should apply the business ethics in the environment. They may start through sorting their garbage biodegradable and non-biodegradable. Also, they may start clean up drive or recycle fair by collecting office trashes that can still be recycled. #astly, the products they use or they produce should be environment friendly. We need to protect our environment for the future generation. All of us are stakeholders and we need to help each other to save our mother earth.

Wal-Marts Women Case We are now living in an almost fair society. $ociety has accepted women empowerment in workplace. !n the %hilippine setting, !&m glad that ! am now living in the society that women can work and have fair place in the society. ! felt the security because of the laws in place that are protecting women at work and !&m glad that the treatment in Wal-'art&s case to women has changed currently. ! believe what men can do( women can do as well so fair treatment and compensation for the genders should be in place at work. The case has shown that ethics and e)ual opportunity should be practiced in every organi*ation. !t affects productivity and organi*ation&s reputation on the treatment and culture in place. Company will cause an extra expenses to the possible lawsuit that they will undertake if it will not implement e)ual opportunity to its employees as laws are already in place for the proper treatment to its employment.

Enron Case Companies should follow the values they have to maintain a culture that is conducive for its integrity and good reputation. %roper +, and management monitoring for the implementation of the core values of the company among its employees should be in place. !n -nron&s case, conflict of interest was one of the reasons of its downfall. !&d like to share how my company reminds its employees of the conflict of interest. We have series of trainings that dealt with the topic of conflict of interest and all of the employees should attend the said training. +, is strictly monitoring the attendees and re)uired to .// 0 compliant for attending the said training. Also,

our +, is implementing regular reminders regarding conflict of interest sent among all it employees. The management especially the officers of our company are also closely monitoring the conflict of interest actions among their groups in order to mitigate and alarm the concerned parties. !t is a reali*ation for me that it is a combination of +, and the whole company to strictly implement the avoidance of the conflict of interest actions. !f there&s only one person who tolerates this action, it is really tempting and can easily adapt by others if not sanctioned. Also, because the company was at its peak, the heads of -nron are in the denial stage that the company has lost a lot of money and not doing well in the market. As a result, they covered this up and did not tell the truth which caused the company&s downfall. This has shown that the truth will set everyone free. Truth is e)uivalent by being ethical and it will help company&s progress.
