The Environment We Live In We don't like it, but the world we live in is a constant source of toxic materials that are bad for our bodies. Good nutrition is important, but just as crucial is the chelation, or removal, of harmful materials, like toxic metals, radioactive isotopes, industrial chemicals, and other contaminants we ingest from our food, water, and air.

About Chelation

The official medically-approved method for removing heavy metals from our bodies is through a process called chelation. Generally, chelation is prescribed for most common cases of mercury or lead poisoning in both adults and children.

Chelation usually uses a chemical called EDTA, which has open spaces ("claws", which, in Greek, is the origin of the name "chelate") within its molecule to trap metal atoms. There are, however, some shortcomings to traditional chelation: First, it is most effective given intravenously, which requires clinical supervision, and second, it does not remove metals from certain important organs, like the kidneys. We recommend a better and more modern method, also proven by clinical trials.

Zeolites

Zeolites, mined from exotic locales around the world, are a naturally occuring class of precious minerals created from one of the most dramatic forces of nature -- volcanic activity. They form due to a chemical reaction between molten lava and sea water.

Zeolite is one of the few negatively-charged minerals found in nature. When ingested, it acts as an electrostatic attractor, drawing in positively-charged toxins and trapping them tightly inside its unique, honeycombed-shaped cages. The "dirty" zeolite is then eliminated naturally and safely from the body.*

Properly cleaned and processed, zeolites can act many times more efficiently than EDTA. The negative charge is 15,000 rather than 2, and the number of sites within each molecule available for toxic substance absorption is far greater. About NCD

Natural Cellular Defense is from a particular zeolite family called clinoptilolite.
