VIII. Learning contain

The formation process of organism is different. Some living or organisms are formed from fertilization product between ovum with sperm cell, some other organisms are formed by organ of their such as stem, root, and leaf. But, instead of its formation process is different, obviously the organisms have similarity, that is every organisms composed the smallest unit called cell. Cell is the smallest structural and functional unit of living things. 1. The Structure of Animal Cell

Animal cell is composed of protoplasm. Protoplasm is living material in the cell in form of colloid liquid of protein complex mixture, lipid and another organic materials. Protoplasm is the basic substance of life in cell. The protoplasm of animal cell is composed of three main parts, those are: a. Cell membrane b. Cell nucleus c. Cytoplasm

a. Cell membrane has function as cell protector, the controller of molecular transportation and the receptor of stimuli from outside of cell. b. Cell nucleus has function to control all of cell activity and the inheritance of heredity factor. c. Cytoplasm serves as a venue for several metabolic reactions, such as glycolysis, protein synthesis, and fatty acid synthesis and place of flotation of some cell organelles.

Organelles found in cytoplasm are as follows. 1) Mitochondria Mitochondria have function as the centre of cell respiration and largest energy producer inside cell, so it is energy source for cell. 2) Endoplasmic Reticulum Endoplasmic Reticulum has function that is to synthesize protein so every cell always contains the endoplasm reticulum. 3) Ribosome Ribosome has function as place to synthesize protein in cell. 4) Golgi Complex Golgi complex has function as secretory organs of protein and mucilage. 5) Lysosome Lysosome has function to digest broken or old cell organelles. 6) Cytoskeleton Cytoskeleton has function as cell supporter and keep cell shape. 7) Centriole Centriole has function when happens cell fission, that is in the movement of chromosome or chromatid.

2. The Structure of Plant Cell

Plant cell has the structure of cell membrane, cell nucleus, and cell organelles that not far different with animal cell, only in plant cell is not found lysosome and centriole. But, plant cell has cell wall , plastid, and vacuole. a. Cell Wall Cell wall has several function , those are to give cells shape, protect the inner parts of cell, and help water movement from outside to inside cell. b. Plastid Plastid is separated into three parts, those are: 1) Leucoplast, that is a plastid that doesnt contain pigment, it has function as storage place. 2) Chromoplast, that is a plastid that contains pigment besides photosynthesis pigment, such as xantophyll and carotene. 3) Chloroplast, that is a plastid that contains photosynthesis process happens. c. Vacuole Vacuole together with cell wall have role to control turgor pressure.

The Difference of Animal Cell with Plant Cell In animal cells there is no cell wall and plastids. Animal cells have two centrioles in the centrosome, generally do not have vacuoles, if there are only small vacuoles. While in plant cell do not have lysosomes and centrioles.

IX. Teaching and Learning Activities Teacher Activity Time Pre-teaching activity Greeting Checking students attending Giving the students feedback related to the material that will be discuss in this meeting Main teaching Explaining the point of material to the student by using media ( power point ) Ask the student about what that they do not 10 minutes Listen teachers explanation, and asking question if still dont understand Listen what the teacher say, and answer the question 2 minutes Greeting Listen what the teacher say, and answer the question. Student Activity

material understand

Make some of group in the class. For every group, teacher give problem and the student must discuss in their group. Give the student test. Test is individual test, the student cant ask with their friend in their group. Giving award to group that can get the biggest score.

Work together in the group, discuss the problem in group, and asking question if still dont understand. Answer the question without looking friends job.

Listen what the teacher say and give applause.

Post teaching activity The teacher give summary about the lesson and give a chance for the students to ask the question Say good bye for the students 3 minutes Listen the summary, and ask question if dont understand. Listen and write down the homework Say good bye

X. Learning Resource

: Script text, relevant textbook and media like power point. :

XI. Assessment And Evaluation Cognitive Psychomotor Affective

: Individual test and discussion. : Student participation at class and in their group. : Student absent.

Instrument Group Test Discuss with your friend and answer the question! 1. Write down organelles found in animal cell and plant cell with each function! 2. Explain difference between animal cell and plant cell !

The Key : 1. Organelles found in animal cell a. Mitochondria Mitochondria have function as the centre of cell respiration and largest energy producer inside cell, so it is energy source for cell. b. Ribosome Ribosome has function as place to synthesize protein in cell. c. Centriole Centriole has function when happens cell fission, that is in the movement of chromosome or chromatid. d. Endoplasmic Reticulum Endoplasmic Reticulum has function that is to synthesize protein so every cell always contains the endoplasm reticulum. e. Golgi Complex Golgi complex has function as secretory organs of protein and mucilage. f. Lysosome Lysosome has function to digest broken or old cell organelles. g. Cytoskeleton Cytoskeleton has function as cell supporter and keep cell shape.

Organelles found in plant cell

2. The differences between animal cell and plant cell are: a. In animal cells there is no cell wall and plastids. Animal cells have two centrioles in the centrosome, generally do not have vacuoles, if there are only small vacuoles. While in plant cell do not have lysosomes and centrioles. b. Based on morphology, the difference between both of them depend on their outer layer. The most outer layer of animal cell is cell membrane, therefore the shape of its cell can change depend on its surface tension. Meanwhile the most outer layer of plant cell is cell wall. Commonly its cell wall is hard, therefore its cell shape almost constaint. c. Another physiological difference between animal cell with plant cell is the ability of each cell in digesting substance. Plant cell has ability to compose simple anorganic compounds to be carbohydrate, lipid, and protein. On the contrary, animal cell only digests organic compounds that come from another plant or animal.
