If the logging function is enabled =,ptions 0 Settings 0 Protocol>, in rare cases the following error message will appear: 9MSAccess Dri%er=G.mdb> for ,DEC not found. Please install the ,DEC en%ironment for MS3AccessJ9 In such case, on your CD go to the folder MDAC-.$3SP(, which contains the file. If SIMATIC PDM notifies a connection abort due to a disrupted communication path, it will try to use an alternati%e communication path at the ne?t attempt of getting a connection, if a redundantly configured S#3)44 Station is a%ailable.

During the 7M2 import de%ice specific messages could appear, which should be ac@nowledged by the user. The SIMATIC Plant iew will always be created automatically for SIMATIC PDM Detwor@

iew ob.ects and the import of these ob.ects in the SIMATIC Plant iew is not necessary. &/ Config ob.ects, which are created only in the SIMATIC Plant iew, can be imported or e?ported, but they lose their connection to &/ Config with this action, i.e. you must 9Select9 these 9&/ Config ob.ects9 again from &/ Config. Cor import files with remote I+, systems that were created with an older %ersion than SIMATIC PDM -.$ we recommend the following: Cirst, import these files in an empty pro.ect with SIMATIC PDM !." and then e?port the file=s>. Then you can use this e?port file in e?isting pro.ects.

HART Server

After writing of a changed TA<, the 92earn9 function of &A'T Ser%er must be e?ecuted again. Fou should not change the name of the ser%er =Default: &A'TSer%er> in the &A'T ser%er pro.ect, although it is possible by clic@ing right mouse button and selecting 9Properties9. The change of the name in an e?isting pro.ect can cause communication problems. Fou should not use special characters in De%ice TA<s. Fou must not use points =.> in De%ice TA<s. In that case, the correct data transfer can not be guaranteed =Point is used as a hierarchical separator, for e?ample, Multiple?er. Panel. De%ice>. Fou can find an e?ample =,PC.&,C> in the installation path in the directory ...AStep#A*?amplesA,PC. Fou can open the &A'T ser%er by double3clic@ing on this file. During the initiali1ation of the &A'T Ser%er you should not operate your computer, because this may cause the abortion of the function in the &A'T ser%er.

Ey acti%ating this functions you will chec@ in 'emote I+,s for analog channels with &A'T communication to see if the S&C functionality =uninterrupted &A'T command se8uence> is supported corresponding to the 9&A'T on P',CIE;S9 specification issued by the 9P',CIE;S P P',CID*T International =PI> fieldbus organi1ation. If support is detected, this functionality will automatically be applied by Simatic PDM and result in shorter loading and reading times of parameter data from &A'T field de%ices. If there is no such support, this functionality will not be applied and the standard method will be used. NoteD If application of the 9&A'T 'I, S&C Mode9 increasingly results in communication brea@downs during communication with indi%idual &A'T field de%ices, deacti%ate the 9&A'T 'I, S&C Mode9 when processing these &A'T field de%ices.
