Self-Service Montserrat serves a range of Mediterranean style hot and cold food. You can choose from fridges packed with salads and sandwich. Or you can take your pick from hot plates serving seasonal hot meals. Prices are similar to those at La Cafeteria (see above). How to book Self-Service It is not possible to book a table at Self-Service Montserrat - just turn up!
It is important to remember that Montserrat is at the top of a tall mountain. On arriving at Montserrat you will notice a significant temperature drop from that at the bottom of the mountain. It is worth bearing this in mind if you are planning a picnic - even if it feels like comfortable outdoor weather at the foot of the mountain, it will be a lot breezier and chillier at the top. Only bring a picnic if you feel confident that the weather will be pleasant enough to enjoy some al fresco dining.
