Personality Portfolio Interview Questions Interviewer: Soyoon Kim Interviewee: Teacher Gender: Male Age Group: Older 1. What was your first impression of me? Through NHS, my first impressions of you were that you were a bit scattered, uncertain, but very passionate. (You were only a sophomore) 2. How would you describe my personality in three words? Compassionate, curious, insightful. 3. Am I more of an introvert or an extrovert? Why? Tough question. I think you come off as an introvert, but there are many extrovert aspects to you. Case in point, the speech you gave for the first unit of AP Language. You were confident, poised, and very articulate. This is when I started questioning how I initially viewed you as described in question #1. You were no longer scattered or uncertain in my eyes. I think you actually like being extroverted, but you are humble at times and draw back to introverted for the good of the order. 4. Would you consider me as someone who is open to new experiences? Why? Absolutely. I see how you challenge yourself more than any student I have ever had. You want to know things and you work hard to grasp the larger concepts/ideas. You seem to shine when confronting something new or something you havent experienced. Scuba diving. 5. Would you describe me as agreeable or disagreeable? Why? Extremely agreeable. You listen, process, and reflect. You are not afraid to share your opinion, but your natural curiosity leads you to share much of yourself. Funny question. 6. How would you rate my confidence level on a scale of 1 to 10 (with 1 being the least confident and 10 being the most confident)? Why? A sneaky 9.5. I would never give a 10, so here we are .5 away. I dont think many people would consider you confident upon meeting you a few times, but over time your confidence bursts out when warranted. NHS, unit 1 speech, Beautiful Store, GG final. etc. 7. Would you describe me as a careful or impulsive? Why? Careful. You are an old soul. You are a constantly reflecting, asking, processing. You seem very deliberate, but not in a bad way. 8. What do you like most about me? You are one of the kindest people I have ever met. You bring happiness to those around you, and you care, I mean really care. You have such a thirst for knowledge, and your perspective is large in scope. You are also ridiculously smart, which motivates your teachers (me), and classmates. You are real. (I can elaborate if needed)

9. What do you dislike most about me? Obviously, an impossible question to answer. But lets say our relationship wasnt teacher/student. Nothing. I mean that. You have so much positive energy and so much curiosity. You are actually inspiring. 10. Would you describe me as more of a group-oriented or independently-minded individual? Why? Again, a tough question. I would have probably written that you were more independent, but the GG final changed my thinking. I think now you are a blend. The GG final with Andrew was the best piece of student work Ive received in 10 years of teaching. How did this happen? With a shared vision with Andrew. Although not group-oriented, still the paired project along with your work collaboratively in NHS forces me to go with 50/50.
