In the top right-hand corner, you will see different colours for the pla yers. Red has been selected. 8. Click on the soldier icon in the left menu bar. You can now place RED un its.* 9. Note: In single missions, you will always play in RED. 10. Place 20 RED units*2 by selecting the desired unit and clicking on the m ap. 11. Change the colour; select BLUE. 12. Now place 20 BLUE units. Make sure they are far enough away. We have sug gested two possible start positions in the top left. In order to place units, the player should possess resources, especially food. We have already added food, gold etc. to this map for both the RED and BLUE players. You can quickly gain more wealth by cheating. Select the player's colour, press the Enter key in the editor and type MONEY. Then press the Enter key again . The nation of the colour you picked will now have been supplied with ample resources . Of course, you may also set the amount of resources in the map editor by determinin g starting options for each nation. To do this, click on the bottom most icon in the left m enu bar (set starting options). *2General hint: Minimum amount. You will have to provide each nation with suffic ient units, because the game will otherwise be classed as a defeat/victory! This mean s nations must have at least 10 units or a peasant each. Note: You can never place more th an 8000

units (in total). *3General hint: Distance and peace. When placing your units, make sure they are far enough apart (approx. 1 screen). This is important, as other nations are hostile towards you and will attack immediately. Only if you have activated the peace mode (dove ) when creating a map will you be able to place units close together. For more information on the map editor please refer to the manual.
