WebSphere Application Server 5.0 for AIX Installation


Below are the procedures for installing IBM WebSphere Application Server 5.0 for AIX at Webtone Technologies for Development.

Please note: This fix pack can be installed from:

Copy wsee5004.zip to the server where it s to be installe!. "nzip the file in the !irectory on the server where yo# copie! the file to. $%o# &ay have to install #nzip for ai' which yo# can (et here) **wtcltapps0+*C,-Apps*.#blicApps*"nzip for AIX/ After #nzippin( the file c! to the ai'0WAS50 !irectory an! e'ec#te 1.0,a#nch.a!.sh2/. Note) If yo# r#n the ,a#nch.a!.sh in the ai' !irectory3 IBM 4--. Server will not be installe!.

Apply .atches #sin( IBM WAS 5.0 Fixpak 2 for AIX as a (#i!eline.

If I place a properties.'&l file in the I:S-?4@M= !irectory3 an! point it to a secon! application server3 startin( the secon! instance will pic5#p the '&l file an! connect the instance to the <n! application server. I (#ess this is the lon( way of sayin( the properties.'&l file is not locate! #sin( the >WAS?4@M= environ&ent variable.
