16. Which applies when the score distribution is concentrated on the left side of the curve? a. Bimodal b. Positively Skewed c. Bell Curve d. Negatively Skewed

Answer: b. This is the answer because the distribution of the scores contains low grades and a possibly high or extreme score which is an indicator that it is a positive skewed. The reason maybe, was the test was so difficult or there were only few students who study. The mode is smaller than the median, which is smaller in the mean.

a. This option is wrong because its curve has a continuous mode, meaning, there is a variety of scores in the distribution. The men and media falls on the same point while the modes corresponds to the two highest-points of the distribution.

c. This option is wrong because the score is distributed in the middle or at the average score. A symmetrical distribution has the median, mean, and mode on the same point.

d. This option is wrong because the scores distributed should be in the right side. This means that the scores is high and have a few low scores. A negatively skewed distribution is asymmetrical and points in the negative direction, such as would result with a very easy test. On an easy test, almost all students would perform well and only a few would do poorly.

18. Concurrent validity requires a. Peer Consultation b. Item Difficulty c. Correlation Study d. Item Analysis

Answer: c. This answer is correct because it helps in comparing or determining the relationships between variables. For example, the scores of the test administered are then correlated for the performance review of the students.

a. This is wrong because it has something to do with the implementation and developing the curricular and instructional knowledge of the student. b. This is not the answer because it is to test how man got wrong in a particular item. d. This is not the answer because it is use for the guidance and Improvement of the instruction.

20. Which one describes the percentile rank of a given score? a. The percent of cases of a distribution within the given score.

Answer: d. This is the correct answer because it gives the percentile rank of a score which is the interpretation of the given scores and scores under it.

b. The percent of cases of a distribution above the given score. c. The percent of cases of a distribution below and above the given score. d. The percent of cases of a distribution below the given score.

a. This is not the correct answer because the interpretation would be locked only to the given score excluded the scores underlying with it. b. This is not the correct answer we are referring into the score and below it. c. This is not the correct answer because it cant be possible to have a percentile rank below and above the score.

22. Which statement about standard deviation is correct? a. The higher the standard deviation, the more the spread the scores are. b. It is a measure of central tendency. c. The lower the standard deviation, the more spread the scores are. d. The higher the standard deviation, the less spread the scores are.

Answer: a. This the correct answer because as the data slowly take its distance from the mean the scores scatter. b. This is wrong because it only refer to the mean or the center of the distribution. c. This is not true because when the data is close to the mean it implies that the scores are not well distributed. d. As I mentioned above, as the data slowly getting its distance from the mean the scores it tends to scatter. So, this is not true at all.

24. Which holds true to norm-referenced testing? a. Comparing individuals performance of a group. b. Determining tasks that reflect instructional objectives.

Answer: a. This is the answer because norm-referenced test is all about assessing and evaluating ones individual and then compare them with the other to identify its position on a predefine population, with respect to the trait being measured.

c. Constructing tests items of instructional objectives. d. Identifying acceptable level of mastery in advance.

b. This is wrong because it does not include individuals who are, to compare the standing of students with each other.

c. This is not the correct answer because it does not tackle any with comparison between students. d. This is not the correct answer because it is just all about the difficulty of every steps or part of the test.
