Good morning students. I am Rik Domingo Shaun N. Balindua taking up Master of Arts in Education major in Educational Administration.

Right now I am conducting a study with the title brigada skwela isulan national highschool experience. So, the focus of this group discussion or interview is to identify the benefits and challenges of brigade skwela here in isulan national highschool. For the record, can you please state your name and your affiliations to this school. Good morning. Im April cath devadeo (?). the supreme student government president. I came from the special science class. I am Christine Joy T. Carcasetas. I am the SSC treasure. I also came from the special science class. I am Honey Camsa. The redcross PIO officer from ____ class regular. good morning. I am shaina faye _____ MAPEH and Drum Corps president and from 4Zerco(?) class.

So students, you will be answering four questions. I will be reading the questions one by one and be rest assured that your answers will be confidential and your identity will not be exposed. So the first question is, what motivated you to volunteer to be part of the Brigada Eskwela in Isulan National Highschool from your 1st year up to your 3rd year, the years na nanalo tayo sa brigade eskwela up to the time the school became a part if the hall of fame, what motivated you to join the brigade eskwela? KRING: for me sir, as one of officer of the supreme student government, from freshmen up to now, it is my obligation to be part of it, as I saw it before sir, the isulan national highschool is not really that good before sir delna came. So, mayroong malaking pagbabago nung nagsimula itong brigade eskwela sa isulan national highschool. And because of this, nagkaroon kami ng idea kung paano pa pagiigihan o pagtuunan ng pansin itong brigade eskwela para ma I maintain din ang beautification ng school at syempre, mataas din ang pangalan ng Isulan National Highschool not only in Mindanao but also in the national level. SARCASITAS: to maintain the cleanliness and beautification of our school and this is the part that students and teachers will help each other to beautify and improve our school. STUDENT 3: the thing that motivated me to join the brigade eskwela is to make the school more conducive for learning. My school ka na nga but then di ka naman maiinganyo mag aral ditto. So that motivated me na parang, ay! Gusto ko tumulong sa brigade ng isulan national highschool para mainganyo ang mga studyante mag aral. TEACHER: bakit ano ba ang sa tingin mo ang conducive para sa iyo? STUDENT 1: yung parang maganda ang classroom. Kumpleto. Na parang pag pasok mo pa lng ay maiinganyo ka ng matoto. STUDENT 2: for me, sa health. Like sa ngayon, maiimplement tay ng proper segregation, yung republic act 9003. Makakadagdag talaga to sa school natin kasi mapeprevent ang sickness sa school. Kaya mas maganda talaga pag malinis at kumportable ang mga studyante sa skwelahan.

TEACHER: bakit, nagkaroon na ba ng mga instances na dahil sa dumi, sa lamok? STUDENT: cgro sir, seldom sir. Sometimes makikita din natin. Pero pag proper na pag didiscipline sa atin, sa amin, kaya na preprevent ang mga ganung instances. TEACHER: Ms. Valdeo, ano yung sabi mo kanina na compare before and after sir delna? Ano ba ang meron sa isulan national highschool before? At ano ba ang meron after nagkaroon ng brigade kaya na motivate ka para mag join ka ng brigade.? Ms. Valdeo: before sir, my 2 brothers are studying here at nag papasyal din ako dito, na notice ko din sir na yung mga grounds natin ditto na very low ang mga grounds na pag dating ng baha, masasabi mot talaga sir na pag dating ng baha, maraming studyante ang di makakapasok. Hindi makakapagaral ng mabuti ang mga studyante kasi ang tubig ay pumapasok sa rooms. Pati ang mga chairs at desk sir ay umaangat kaya di mo talaga masasabi na conducive learning tulad ng sinasabi niya kanina. Kaya yung pagpasok ni sir delna, nakita naming ang determination ni sir delna kung paano niya binago ang isulan national highschool before and to after. TEACHER: Ano ba ang role ni sir delna ditto during the brigade? Ms. Valdeo: sir delna is not only a leader but also a worker. He is willing to serve not because he is the principal but it is his goal to serve and maintain the cleanliness and the beautification of the school. So, as a leader sir, masasabi talaga naming mabuting guro, mabuting principal at mabuting pinuno si sir delna. TEACHER: let me continue with another question. What made you decide to share your time and resources? May naibigay na ba kayong sa isulan national highschool?o may naibigay na ba kayo in relation to the brigade eskwela? STUDENT: paint sir. TEACHER: what made you decide to share your resources to isulan national highschool. STUDENT: yung school natin sir, hindi ito magiging maganda kung walang kulay. Sabi nga nila ang colors ang nagpapaganda sa lahat. So I conclude sir na I voluntarily donated paint para mas magiging maganda ang school. Kung yun lang man ang maitutulong ko para sa school para mas mapapaganda pa ito kaya ginawa ko sir. TEACHER: 2nd question, what benefits have you observed or experience as a result of the implementation of brigade eskwela? STUDENTS: for me sir, nag increase ang population ang students compare before. TEACHER: at sa tingin mo na yung pag increase ng population ay isa sa mga benipisyo? STUDENT: Yes sir. TEACHER: bakit? STUDENT: kasi sir, pag maraming studyante sa loob ng paaralan, masasabi mong ang paaralan na yan ay maroon ng magandang klase na pagtuturo compare sa others.

TEACHER: anymore benefits? So, what do you observe in the school grounds? Classrooms? Buildings? Laboratories and Physical Facilities? STUDENT: mas nag improve pa sir. Ngayon pa sir na nagpapatayo ang school ng another building. The 2-story and 3-story building. Mas nagiging magandang tignan sir. Yung mga laboratories sir na kung saan ang mga equipments, mas natoto ang mga students kung paano ito gamitin. TEACHER: School grounds? STUDENT: masasabi ko talaga na maganda ang pag facilitate nito kasi every time na may bakante, namamaintain talaga ang schoolgrounds at napapaganda. Kasi dati sir, my opinion sir, my friends in other schools, sabi nila wag ka diyan kasi hindi maganda. Pero in myself, nakikita ko talga, as for now, na dedevelop talga ang school because of the help of brigade skwela.

TEACHER: anong ba yung ibig sabihin sa sinasabi mong magandang school? STUDENT: sa makikita ko ngayun, more impletation and improvements of facilities. For example, mga landscapes. Mas naaattract ang mga visitors to pumunta dito school. TEACHER: how about sa mga classrooms? STUDENT: ang classrooms sir, compare dati, yung mga classrooms, chairs and blackboards are enough na. but now, may sarili ng bulletin board na kung saan per subjects nandoon nan naka describe kung ano meron doon sa subject. So for now, mas parang maiinganyo ka ng pumasok sa classroom na kumpleto. TEACHER: sa physical facilities, meron bang nabago?may nidagdag bah? O walng pag babago? STUDENT: mayroon pong nadagdag. We have the guest til(?) and then yung canteens ay naimprove. Yung mga buildings nadagdagan to cater more students for this coming june and for the K to 12 program. TEACHER: aside from the physical aspect of this school, what other benefits have you observe or experience as a result of the implementation of the brigade eskwela? STUDENT: we are having different kinds of activities every Friday with the partnership of the supreme student government. TEACHER: sa tingin mo ba na dala ito ng brigade eskwela sir. STUDENT: maybe sir. Part of it. TEACHER: bakit some part of it. STUDENT: kasi sir, sa brigade eskwela ditto nakikita kung ano ginagawa ng school para mapanatili o mas lalo pa mapaganda hindi lamang sa physical, mental, social but also in spiritual of the students. TEACHER: so ang ibig mongg sabihin, nagkaroon ng maraming activities na dahil sa brigade? STUDENT: YES Sir.

TEACHER: 3rd question. What were the challenges you encountered during the implementation of the brigade eskwela? Ano yung mga different circumstances nan a experience ninyo noon habang nagbibrigada eskwela tayo. STUDENT: for me sir, yung init, pagod, pero diyan sir, makikita parin natin na nagtutulungan ang mga estudyante para mapaganda ang paaralan. TEACHER: so maliban jan sa mga init, pagod, ano pang mga difficulties na napagdaanan ninyo during the implemention of the brigade eskwela? STUDENT: wala naman sir. The more you work
