Lecture 23 "what distinguishes these two crosses is that you get 1/16th mutant roller." but you also get 9/16 double wt/wt? unless the m/rol creates a wt phenotype YES. the F1 is WT m/rol is WT "both classes out" difference in 3 point mapping between when m is on one side or in between middle-> you get mutant in both classes one side-> you only get the mutant in one of them. if you get mutant and b, m is on far from b (a in middle)

Lecture 25 Homozygous legal Sxl in female or mle in male? How does that work? "they die because they don't upregulate their x" but i thought they do upregulate it in the MSL complex? is it because it is a double mutation and the mutation is necessary for the complex? Why is sxl lethal in females? shouldn't it just make them not make Sxl so they are male? Same effect as tra mutation?
