Care should be taken when working with electricity and competence shown. Only designated persons should use Lighting Dimmers & High voltage appliances in order to avoid unnecessary risks. No water or liquids should come into contact with electrical items. Food and water should be consumed within designated areas.

Crew must self-assess their own capabilities and make an informed decision to gage whether they are competent and comfortable to lift objects. Route is cleared when carrying items. Always walk the route that you will take before carrying the object to check for obstructions etc. Check that the lighting is sufficient. Correct PPE is worn at all times. Visually assess the load before lifting, wear gloves if required. Store items at a reasonable height, and in a secured position.

Personnel may work at height with supervision Warn people in the space aware when working at height. Signs should be put up on entrances to the space making people aware of works going on. P.P.E must be worn when appropriate when people are working at height Do not allow people to work directly below persons working at height. Suitable Ladders should be used for the job. Ladders should be supervised from the ground and footed when appropriate, Brief all crew onsite about the working at height procedure. Ensure anything rigged is secured with a clamp and secondary safety chain.

Ensure Exits are clearly marked with students and staff aware of exits. Fire extinguishers should be accessible, and used only by competent users and not moved from their location Ensure Stage Lights & Electrics are recently checked and PAT tested. Ensure materials that do not adhere to the required standards are treated with flame retardants.

In case of spillage, liquids are to be mopped up Props should be made secure.Pathways and areas surrounding potential trip hazards should be marked clearly with white tape if used in dim light. Walkways should be lit sufficiently both public areas and backstage.
