Context
Students have undertaken an introductory unit to the IPT course covering the seven information processes that form the foundation of all learning in the subject. Students have been introduced to the concepts of Information Systems and Information Technology as well as the Nature of Data and Information.

Task Description
You are assigned to a project team that is required to use the System Development Life Cycle and project management tools to create a collaborative online learning space that will be used by your IPT class for the remainder of Year 11, 2014 and Year 12, 2015. In order to effectively develop this information system you will need to do the following: Research the purpose and structure of online collaborative learning spaces Research the information technologies required to create one (hardware and software) Plan and design a collaborative learning space (and include relevant content) Implement, test and evaluate your collaborative learning space

As this is a group project, you will be required to agree on roles and equitably divide project tasks. You will need to hold meetings, or establish regular communication mechanisms to make project decisions. It is important that records of what is discussed and agreed upon, as well as who is responsible for completing tasks, are kept. You are also required to complete a project journal (Attached).
