TDC is located 30km from Nairobi along Namanga Road at the border of Athi River and Kitengela. It is directly opposite EPZA and adjacent to Savannah Cement Ltd. Established in the year 2000, TDC is a well equipped tertiary technical training institution under the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) in the Ministry of Labour. Since its establishment, the Centre has expanded its facilities and acquired additional state-of-the-art training equipment, making it one of a kind in Kenya. Today, the college offers learners a variety of careerfocused diploma and certificate courses in Engineering, Information Communication Technology (ICT), Fashion Design and Business fields. The Centre takes a motivational approach to trainee instruction. This has resulted in high pass rates in national examinations at diploma and other levels. In addition to regular courses, the Centre has introduced evening, weekend and holiday programs to target workers in industry. Over the years, it has hosted trainees from industry and from other training institutions for various skills upgrading and tailor-made vocational courses.
