BUSINESS
IN BRIEF

Local business owner earns statewide recognition

John Porter, of Edmond, owner and operator of the Porter Insurance Agency was recognized as a 2013 AFR Insurance Top Producer at the 2014 American Farmers & Ranchers/Oklahoma Farmers Union 109th State Convention Feb. 21 in Norman. Porter was honored for his Porter performance during last year, as well as his dedication to the AFR Mutual Insurance Company. The award was presented by AFR Insurance CEO Brian Baxter. Porter has reached a level very few agents reach, said Curtis Liles, AFR Insurance director of marketing and underwriting. With extensive storm losses across the state, 2013 was an especially difficult year to reach such a milestone. We commend Porter and all of our hard-working agents on a job well done.
