1:13 PM Friday March 7 Northwest The Office of Multicultural Affairs offers a variety of programs for students, in addition to hosting various events from different cultures. The staff is very friendly and resourceful, particularly with helping students transition into college. (Human Environment Interaction). 6:58 PM Saturday March 8West Located on 44th street in Kentwood, this Family Fare is where my family and I go to shop for our groceries and other basic necessities. This location is very convenient because it is very close to our home. (Human Region)

10:04 AM Thursday March 6 Southwest At-Tawheed Islamic Center is located at 3357 East Paris Avenue Kentwood, MI 49512. This mosque offers a variety of resources to help serve the large Muslim community in the Greater Grand Rapids Area. It offers resources such as Quran classes, weekly Friday prayers, monthly food pantry, and a family refugee program. (Absolute Location; Human or Cultural Characteristics).

5:16 PM Friday March 7 North The Mary Idema Pew Library is located at Grand Valleys Allendale campus. It is home to thousands of educational and technological resources. I particularly enjoy the various seating arrangements they have implemented to accommodate students. It makes my study sessions more enjoyable. (Ideas and Information; Relative Location)

12:00 PM Friday March 7Northeast As a practicing Muslim, prayer is a very important aspect of my faith. The prayer cubicle in Kirkhof Center is where I typically perform my daily prayers. On Fridays, the Muslim Students Association hosts a congregational prayer here. (Human or Cultural Characteristics)

6:26 PM Saturday March 8 Southwest This was taken right outside of JcPenney located in Woodland Mall on 28th street. I enjoy shopping at this mall, particularly browsing through the Barnes and Nobles bookstore. (Goods and Service).

11:17 AM Wednesday March 5 West 10:10 AM Thursday March 6 Northwest Super Green market is located next to the At-Tawheed Islamic Center on East Paris in Kentwood, MI. As a practicing Muslim, I have a very strict diet that consists of eating only halal meat (similar to kosher meat). So, this is where I buy all my meat and chicken products. (Relative Location; Human or Cultural Characteristics) Located on 44th street in Kentwood, this is a picture of my house. It was finished building last summer in 2013, which is also when we moved in. Across the road from us is a forest areas filled with trees, deer, and sometimes even raccoons. (Natural Characteristics; Relative Location) 6:53 PM Sunday March 9 East This picture was taken right outside of my house. Moving from a warm climate region, the Michigan winter was a very new experience to me. The snow, in particular, was something I had to learn to adjust to. I quickly realized that snow isnt always fluffy and nice, as shown in the above picture of ice! (Natural Characteristics; Natural Regions)

Ideal classroom 6:48 PM Saturday March 8 North Le Kabob is a Mediterranean restaurant located on 28th street in Kentwood, MI. This is my familys favorite restaurant to eat in since it reminds us a lot of home (United Arab Emirates). The restaurant serves a variety of dishes from Middle Eastern cuisines, in addition to halal meat. (Relative Location; Goods and Services) 7:23 AM Wednesday, March 5 Southwest Brookwood Elementary School is located at 5465 Kalamazoo Ave Se Grand Rapids, MI 49508. I work for a before school program with students from K-5. The school is part of Kentwood Public Schools, which is a district that has a lot of ethnically and religiously diverse students; A setting I am hoping to work in as a future teacher..
