JSH Consulting

By: Jennifer Lee Scott Waterhouse Hampton Hook

Changes to Methodology
Almost every slide has undergone some
form of minor revision. Mostly, these revisions were wording changes.

Our major content revisions and

additions are explained here and in the next few slides.
Through-out: Executive Summaries for each Phase have been added at the beginning of each phase to provide an overview of each phase. Slides 16-31. Who We Are, our website, balance sheet with narrative, work schedule with guidelines, and a generic staff meeting agenda are all added to provide standards for JSH Employees as we work on our separate projects and to provide the graders with a little more information about who we are and what we do.

Changes to Methodology
Slide 25. An overview narrative has been added as a new requirement for this project. It is mostly to be developed in the client binder. Slides 39-45. Added requirements prevent resources from being wasted. Example: A project manager will not be required to leave the office, travel to a meeting location and then find out that the client is not coming. Meeting request form now requires: JSH Consulting to be the meeting place Nonrefundable Consultation Fee 24 Hour notice of cancellation/rescheduling Slide 69. We updated the client questionnaire. We simplified the questions and removed questions such as color and font choice that a client will most likely not be insistent on at the first meeting and should ultimately be left up to the design team subject to client revision.

Changes to Methodology
Slides 49-55: Sell Contract Additions/revisions.

Added new payment schedule to adhere to the real

world practice of being paid at the completing of each phase.

Added a delay disclaimer to create a more flexible

completion date if any client-created problems arise.

Added clause limiting inappropriate content Added clause reserving JSH Consultings right to
use the final website for advertising purposes.

We revised the contract to remove mention of

maintenance after the website has been completed. The example methodology had a redundant service agreement in the service phase. We only needed one of these. Slide 70-73. We created a client meeting agenda, confirmation scripts, and a meeting summary sheet. The goal here is to increase the value of the initial consultation meeting by providing an idea of what needs to be covered, encouraging attendance by reminding the client of the meeting, and providing an easy way to summarize what was discussed so no idea is lost in the process.

Changes to Methodology
Slide: 98. We simplified the sitemap template because each website will require a very different sitemap. There only two things that must always be present in the sitemap: The home page of the website and a link to JSH Consultings website. We also added a narrative to explain how it should be implemented in the client binder. Slides 167-168. We created two surveys to be given to the client after the entire process is completed. The first evaluates the overall satisfaction with JSH Consulting and the second evaluates the performance of the project manager the client worked with specifically.

Dear Graders:
Binder 1 contains guidelines as to how we should:

Acquire and impress client Sell product to client Meet product requirements Maintain product

Binder 2 will document how the methodology was

implemented to create three websites. This binder will be delivered to you after Spring Break.

We followed the example methodology and put

deliverables first. This results in jumping numbers but the phase table provided after each deliverable explains the numbering system clearly.

Thank you,

Scott Waterhouse Hampton Hook Jennifer Lee

Balance Sheet Narrative

We created a balance sheet for JSH
Consulting and based it off of the most recent financial reports from Web.com.

We determined that our consulting firm

would be roughly half the size of Web.com

The numbers we came up with were

multiplied by one half to give estimations of what JSH Consulting Balance Sheet would look like

Timesheet Guidelines
As a Project Manager you must track your progress
every day, to show what has been completed and what needs to be done.

Make sure to have your client sign off after each

phase of the work practice. By having the client sign off once your work is completed it allows you to be paid.

Once you determine a date for completion make sure

to have completed the website by then unless Client makes changes to anything previously signed off as done.

Be sure to communicate with the client to ensure

payments are being made on time by them. If payments are not made on time the project will be put on hold.

If you work over forty hours be sure to mark the hours

that are overtime hours to ensure you can be paid time and a half for those hours.

Everyday record the time you spend working on your

clients project.
