Some keywords may be filtered from your search query based on maturity level. Th e lists below shows what is filtered and what is not filtered. It is the input words to the search q uery that are filtered. They are simply dropped as if you did not type them, and the search is carried o ut on the remaining words you entered. The results that come back are not filtered, and may contain the words below. * Search using Google using keyword + site:world.secondlife.com gives adult resu lts. * Client will open either an internal or external browser (depending on preferen ces) when you click a URL within the client. Search using internal media browser gives adult results regardless of maturity settings: 1. Type http://www.google.com in chat 2. Click local chat button to bring up chat history, then click on the web li nk created in step 1. 3. When media browser page opens, enter keyword + site:world.secondlife.com. ========== Client search ========== * Search results vary according to the maturity check boxes and search tab chose n. * A few words are never allowed, and about 70 more are only allowed to be used i f you have the adult settings active. I * f you attempt to search using these words and the adult content checkbox is no t active, you will get a popup message telling you "your search results contained content that you can only access with a verified account". The following failures to filter have been noted: *Words in other languages than english are generally unfiltered: A sample of filtered words above were tested in French, German, and Italian and were not filtered. *Slight changes to words in english makes the filter fail: * Putting leading or trailing symbols (~, @, #, etc) around any filtered wor d gives adult results, with the exception of Plus and minus (+ -) used exclusively. Example: Penis balls - penis is filtered Penis(balls) - penis is not filtered because of trailing "(" Penis (balls) - penis is filtered because of the separating space * Spelling changes fail to filter a word: Use of number one instead of lowercase L zero instead of letter O Dollar sign instead of letter S Use of international characters such as tilde, cedilla or umlaut * Plurals mostly fail * Split or joined words mostly fail * Filtered words which are substrings within longer words are unfiltered * Hyphenated words are generally unfiltered *Some changes still keep the filter working: * Capitalization does not matter ======= Footnotes ======= 1.)
