OBJECTIVE
Project Brunei 2014 Participants- It is such a precious chance for me to get deeper knowledge toward autism and gain experience in volunteer activities. Furthermore, through this project, I do believe that I will grow more mature and sympathetic with autistic children.

EXPERIENCE
Y Confidence event- YMCA of Singapore (March 2014- June 2014) YMCA of Singapore won the prize Charity Governance Awards 2013 and possessed lots of other rewards before. Y Confidence is the event held by YMCA of Singapore, which includes many sessions taking place from March to June this 2014. This volunteer program aims to lend a helping hand to those who are youth-at-risks regain their confidence via diverse challenges. Being involved in this program, I, accompany other fourteen volunteers, take responsibility for helping troubled teenagers and monitor them in many activities such as night walk or public speaking. On the other hand, partaking in these sessions, volunteers themselves will be trained for teambuilding and leadership enhancing. This program has not finished yet. Sgcares ( July 2013- present) Sgcares is a useful website providing the young with hundreds of volunteer opportunities in Singapore. By giving a fast-updated calendar of activities, members can easily arrange time to get involved in jobs that they like. Becoming a member of this non-profit organization, I contribute my time and service to people who need it. Besides, I met people from all walk of life, which gives me various experience in knowing more about their lives.

Citi-YMCA Youth for Causes (YFC) 2013 Project Showcase (19 October, 2013) The Citi-YMCA Youth For Cause (YFC) was a competition designed to foster the social communication and leaderships development among Singapore youths. Teams were asked to implement their projects which were relevant to the goal of this program within a particular period. The Project Showcase was the final interview when they presented their projects after carrying out and was judged whether they achieved awards. As a member of volunteer team, I was a bouncer who was in charge of monitoring the team to queue up and ensuring that teams were orderly sent into the main according to their turns. By doing this, I learn how to guide and usher others. Pioneer Road Run 2013- Pioneer Community Sports Club (28 September&13 October, 2013) The Pioneer Road Run (PRR) is a annual competition encouraging running for the west area in Singapore. Beside the main event taking place on 13 October, 2013, it also included other activities such as PRR Race Pre-Event Workshop, PRR Race Packaging and PRR Race Expo (lasting from 8 to 29 September 2013 ) Taking part in two days (28, September & 13, October, 2013) as a volunteer, I was responsible for two different roles. On the day PRR Race Expo, I was in charge of helping participants to register and distributed packages. During the main day of competition, I was a usher who guided people into correct directions and always paid attentions if there were any injured men. I did remember the lesson that I had learn from the day PRR Race Expo. We had limited equipment, which affected the registration process and therefore, lots of people must wait for long time and became angry. As a receptionist, I had to face with that. The lesson I drew for myself is that when customers feel dissatisfied with service, they have their rights to reveal and we should not quibble against. It is such an costly experience especially for a Hospitality student like me.
