Requirement: Must successfully complete a Transportation Security Administration (TSA)
Fingerprint-based Criminal History Records Check and employment background check. Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test. Job Responsibilities: Under general direction, assess community needs and determines appropriate levels of air service for Cleveland Hopkins International Airport and Burke Lakefront Airport. Arranges meetings with airlines to secure additional air service, as needed. Performs statistical analysis and reporting concerning air service level requirements. Complies and analyzes origin and destination of traffic reports. Represents Cleveland at USA-BIAS, ACI and AAAE functions. Prepares monthly facts sheets and other reports as needed.
A direct-report to the Chief of Marketing and Air Service Development,
Department of Port Control, the Manager of Air Service Development, Cargo Specialist, will be the day-to-day manager of cargo service relating to the development of air cargo services at CLE and BKL. This includes relations with current air cargo tenants, prospecting and recruiting additional cargo service and freight forwarder activity at the department’s airports. This manager will also support the efforts of the Chief of Air Service Development as we increase scheduled passenger air services at CLE.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Management, Marketing or closely related field is required; a Master’s Degree is preferred. (substitution: two years of experience may substitute for each year of education lacking) Three years of full time paid airport or real estate development experience is required. (Education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis) A valid State of Ohio Driver’s License is required. At least five years of progressive professional experience in management, operations or sales with an air cargo carrier, airline, airport or air freight forwarder or other air service roll is required.
