The initiative of T-STEM was launched in December 2005 by the office of Pe


rry of the Governor in association with the schools of Texas, Bill and the
base of Melinda Gates, the base of Michael and Susan Dell, the instrument
s national, and base it the Communities of Texas.

The initiative of Science, technology, technology and maths of Texas (T-ST


EM) is a project of the dollar $71 million to better prepare students of s
chools of Texas for success in the university and the work place. With the
movement forwards undeniable towards an economy based on total technology
, the secondary schools of Texas stress more science and of mathematics.

Although many schools of Texas already complete an excellent work in thes


e educational sectors, the most common reason that many schools of Texas
are academically evaluated unacceptable by the state is poor execution of
science. The second common reason is poor execution of mathematics.

In 2005, only 72 percent of the last students the part of mathematics and o
nly 71 percent last the part of the science of the necessary evaluation of

tion of student of schools of Texas in sectors by providing the innovating
instruction of science and of mathematics, as well as the innovating sites
of demonstration.

T-STEM will establish 35 small schools or academies, located in high sectors


of the need through the state for Texas. These schools of Texas will concen
trate on the instruction of science, mathematics, technology and technology.
From five to six demonstration centres of STEM will be developed to transfo
rm current methods of teaching for the teachers of schools of Texas, like th
e train and to prepare professors for these specialized schools of Texas. Mo
reover, the project will establish a network by state to support a broad dif
fusion of the practices in all the schools of Texas.

Each new schools of T-STEM Texas will include categories 6-12 or will be a
n academy of college which works with the colleges of driver. Each categor
y will have approximately 100 students of schools of Texas. The hearth wil

udy.

The registered students of schools of Texas will be necessary to take four y


ears of mathematics and science with the participation in the relative activ
ities except program. A boarding school or a project in the sectors related
on science, technology, technology or mathematics also will be required.

Teachers in these schools of Texas will be necessary to work with establishme


nts of a higher education to stimulate associations, duelles classes of credi
t, and occasions of teacher training.
