1. .ake a oo' an inch from the yarn end. ;ra$ the ?oin with your thum$ and forefinger.

!. Dnsert the hook through the oo' from front to $ack, gra$ the yarn and draw u' a oo'.

3. 0arn o%er and draw through the oo'.

4. (u the yarn tight. ,his does not count as the first sing e crochet stitch.

5. )tart the first sc. Dnsert the hook through the starting oo' from front to $ack.

,his is a way to finish an o'en 'iece that wi ater $e sewn to another c osed or o'en 'iece. Df you need to ea%e a yarn tai for sewing, sto' after ste' !.

1. .ake a s i' stitch in the ne@t stitch. Cut the yarn and 'u the yarn tai through the oo'. Dnsert the hook through the ne@t stitch.

!. ;ra$ the yarn and draw the yarn tai through the stitch from $ack to front.

3. Dnsert the hook through the ne@t stitch and draw the yarn tai through the stitch from front to $ack.

3. Stuffin$ the pieces


)tuffing is what gi%es your finished amigurumi the sha'e, so take your time. Eoosen the stuffing $etween your hands and add a itt e $it at a time. 3ee' adding unti your 'iece is firm and ho ds sha'e. Df you start getting um's, 'u out a the stuffing, oosen it and start o%er. Df you can see the stuffing through the fa$ric, you ha%e o%erstuffed. ,hen it is $est to start o%er and stuff more ight y.

4. Se0in$ an open piece to a closed piece


,his is a method for sewing an o'en 'iece to a c osed 'iece. Fhen 'ieces are different co or, use the yarn you used for the o'en 'iece to sew it to the c osed 'iece.
