The project entitled Gas Agency is done to make the manual process easier by making it a computerized system for billing and maintaining stock. The Gas Agencies get the order request through phone calls or by personal from their customers and deliver the gas cylinders to their address based on their demand and previous delivery date. This process is made computerized and the customer s name! address and stock details are stored in a database. "ased on this the billing for a customer is made simple and easier! since a customer order for gas can be accepted only after completing a certain period from the previous delivery. This can be calculated and billed easily through this. There are t#o types of delivery like domestic purpose use delivery and commercial purpose use delivery. The bill rate and capacity differs for both. This can be easily maintained and charged accordingly. The stock of gas and all its details are processed s#iftly. $roviding the facility to the users %&onsumers' that can make online bookings for gas cylinder to concerned distributor or agency. (o# a days for livelihood every user need gas. )o #e are having no companies and that having no of distributors. *ser #ill have any one the company connection. )o he can book the gas #henever he need. The Gas Agency system is providing facility to the users from that the user can make online gas booking easily. +f the user %&onsumer' has no gas connection! the system is providing facility that user can make a request for ne# connection. And also providing the facility like he can make a request for transfer gas connection from one location to another.
Features
The system keeps the track of Agency ,etails The system keeps the track of All &onsumers Agency #ise The system #ill displays statically data about Gas &ylinders $roviding -nline gas "ooking .acility $roviding -nline Transfer request facility from one location to another
Existing System
Through this e/isting consumer unable to make online gas booking. .or gas booking he has to make a cal to distributor and book the gas on. ,ata has located in single system. 0aking online request is not possible in e/isting system. -nline requests are like gas booking request and connection transfer
Proposed System
"y considering the e/isting system the ne# proposed system providing the facility like that the consumer can make on line gas books as #ell as connection transfer request. ,ata has located as centralized. That data can be accessed by authorized persons. "y this ne# system general user can kno# that statical data about gas cylinders in particular gas agency. The )ystem also providing -nline 1egistration for ne# connection.
The administrative user interface concentrates on the consistent information that is practically! part of the organizational activities and #hich needs proper authentication for the data collection. The interfaces help the administrations #ith all the transactional states like ,ata insertion! and ,ate updating along #ith the e/tensive data search capabilities. The operational or generic user interface helps the users upon the system in Transactions through the e/isting data and required services. The operational user interface also helps the ordinary users in managing their $ersonal information helps the ordinary users in managing their o#n information
Number of Modules
Administration &ustomer %*ser' ,istributor 1egistration 1eports Authentication
Administration This is the module under this various tasks #ill takes place. That task is like 0anaging the )tates! ,istrict! &ity details. +n this module distributor s registration #ill be done. )tatical data can be entered for gas cylinders on agency #ise. &onsumers transfer requests #ill be accepted in this module. And generates various reports in this module. !egistration *nder this module various users registration #ill takes places. ,istributor s registration! *ser %&onsumer' registration #ill be done through this module. At the time of registration that the user should provide the all information and also providing the facility the user can upload the image also. !eports This module is comes under admin module as sub module as #ell as in distributor. +n this module various reports #ill be generated. The system #ill generate reports like &onsumers reports! ,istributors reports! .eedback reports etc. All these can vie# by the admin only. The distributor can vie# only his consumer s reports. Authenti"ation Module This module contains all the information about the authenticated users. *ser #ithout his username and pass#ord can t enter into the login if he is only the authenticated user then he can enter to his login and then he #ill have authorization based upon their roles. #istributor The distributor authenticate through system. Then he #ill get his home page. +n this the distributor having facility like that he can modify his personal information.

+t has been a great pleasure for me to #ork on this e/citing and challenging project. This project proved good for me as it provided practical kno#ledge of not only programming in A)$.(?T and &@.(?T #eb based application and no some e/tent :indo#s Application and )>4 )erver! but also about all handling procedure related #ith Gas Agency )ystem. +t also provides kno#ledge about the latest technology used in developing #eb enabled application and client server technology that #ill be great demand in future. This #ill provide better opportunities and guidance in future in developing projects independently. -enefits*
The project is identified by the merits of the system offered to the user. The merits of this project are as follo#sB = +t s a #eb=enabled project. This project offers user to enter the data through simple and interactive forms. This is very helpful for the client to enter the desired information through so much simplicity. The user is mainly more concerned about the validity of the data! #hatever he is entering. There are checks on every stages of any ne# creation! data entry or updating so that the user cannot enter the invalid data! #hich can create problems at later date. )ometimes the user finds in the later stages of using project that he needs to update some of the information that he entered earlier. There are options for him by #hich he can update the records. 0oreover there is restriction for his that he cannot change the primary data field. This keeps the validity of the data to longer e/tent. *ser is provided the option of monitoring the records he entered earlier. 2e can see the desired records #ith the variety of options provided by him.
&imitations*
The size of the database increases day=by=day! increasing the load on the database back up and data maintenance activity. Training for simple computer operations is necessary for the users #orking on the system.
