Novell Filr 1.0.1 (Build3226 / September 7, 2013) / Novell Filr Appliance Versio n: 1.0.1.65 Problem Description: It is intended to fix issues outlined in the following TIDs: 7012436 - Not all users syncing during Filr LDAP sync 7013065 - Unable to sync files to Filr from Shared Folder with many ACLs 7013327 - Net Folders sub folders or documents missing 7013483 - Unable to import the "CA Reply" when the key pair was generated using an alias that contains dots 7014083 - Failed to map owner or ACL principal to Filr principal 7014084 - Cannot delete or update a parent row: a foreign key constraint fails 7014085 - Heavy file sync results in too many concurrent connections to the Sear ch Appliance How To Apply: Note: If you have a cluster setup, you will need to perform these steps on each Filr node in the cluster. This does NOT include the MySQL or Search appliance(s ). 1. Download the Filr-1.0.1-FTF1.zip patch kit 2. Stop the Filr service, FAMT service and start the SSH service via the Applian ce Configuration: a. Log in to the Novell Filr appliance at https://server_url:9443, then click the Appliance Configuration icon. b. Click System Services. c. Click Novell Filr > Action > Stop d. Click Novell FAMT > Action > Stop e. Click SSH > Action > Start 3. Using a SSH/SFTP client such as Bitvise SSH, WinSCP remote login to the Filr appliance as user "root" 4. Copy over the patch kit downloaded in step (1) to the Filr appliance using th e SSH/SFTP client to: /root/ 5. Unzip the patch kit using command: unzip Filr-1.0.1-FTF1.zip This should create a folder Filr-1.0.1-FTF1 6. The patch kit comes with the shell script to backup and copy the fixes to you r Filr appliance. Run the script from the SSH client as follows: cd /root/Filr-1.0.1-FTF1 sh apply-filr1.0.1-ftf1.sh

Note: You can check the file /opt/novell/patchlevel to see your current patch level For example, use the more command: more /opt/novell/patchlevel The /opt/novell/patchlevel will NOT exist if no patches have be en applied before This script will STOP if it detects either Filr or FAMT service running . These services may be stopped using step (2) or by issuing the following commands: rcfilr stop rcnovell-famtd stop 7. If an error is reported in step (6), please contact Novell Technical Support with the error details 8. Exit out of the remote SSH connection 9. Start the FAMT service, Filr service and stop the SSH service via the Applian ce Configuration: a. Log in to the Novell Filr appliance at https://server_url:9443, then click the Appliance Configuration icon. b. Click System Services. c. Click Novell FAMT > Action > Start d. Click Novell Filr > Action > Start e. Click SSH > Action > Stop Patch / FTF dependencies: This FTF package does not supercede or include any other Filr/Search/MySQL 1.0.1 fixes.
