Scrutiny of spiritual kno ledge.... !alling upon the spirit....

"ou ought to think a#out hat you are e$pected to #elie%e& you ought to e$a'ine it& and al ays call upon God for help that (e 'ay enlighten your spirit& that (e 'ay gi%e you the understanding and the right po er of )udg'ent in order to #e a#le to distinguish truth fro' error. "ou should not #elie%e #lindly& don*t accept e%erything presented to you as truth& for God*s ad%ersary is diligently at ork #ecause it is in his interest to under'ine the truth& to intersperse the truth ith error and to lead people into thinking rongly.... +nd so it is understanda#le that it 'ust #e checked& for an e$a'ination 'ust #e 'ade here%er t o different opinions are endorsed& #ecause #oth together cannot #e true if they de%iate fro' each other. But you are incapa#le of conducting such an e$a'ination #y yoursel%es as long as you only use your intellect& #ecause the latter can easily #e controlled #y God*s ad%ersary. First& your spirit 'ust #e a akened and then you ill not find it difficult to e$a'ine spiritual kno ledge. ,herefore you should al ays pray for an enlightened spirit first& for #right and clear thoughts and )udg'ent of hat you are e$pected to #elie%e. +nd you ill soon #eco'e a are of the fact that not 'any teachings ill stand up to serious scrutiny as soon as it is conducted ith a call upon God for illu'ination.... "ou ill disco%er contradictions& 'isguided interpretations&

indistinct concepts ill confuse your thoughts and distortedly portray the i'age of God& your !reator and Father of eternity& you ill not al ays #e a#le to reconcile lo%e& isdo' and po er ith hat you are #eing taught& ith hat you are e$pected to #elie%e. +nd any teaching hich casts dou#t on any one of these.... lo%e& isdo' or po er.... is rong.... "ou should al ays apply the yardstick that God*s nature 'ay not #e portrayed distortedly if a doctrine lays clai' to truth. (o e%er& God*s ad%ersary ill al ays ai' to present God in a ay that it ill #e difficult for people to grant (i' all their lo%e. ,herefore he ill 'ake an effort to distort God*s nature& to portray an unclear i'age of (i' and& particularly& let God*s lo%e appear to #e dou#tful& #ecause people ill then stop #elie%ing in God and refrain fro' doing hat is the 'ost i'portant in earthly life- to esta#lish a #ond ith God& hich can only #e esta#lished through lo%e. .%erything that is suita#le for 'aking you dou#t God*s lo%e is the ad%ersary*s acti%ity. +nd e%ery doctrine portraying God as a 'erciless /udge Who only ants to punish (is li%ing creations is therefore his ork.... e%en if God*s )ustice is 'entioned. God*s love out eighs e%erything& although God*s nature ill al ays and fore%er #e perfect and& as a result& )ustice ill ne%er #e e$cluded in e%erything God does or allo s to happen. "et a true doctrine ill ne%er e$clude God*s lo%e& conse0uently& one can ne%er speak of eternal da'nation either #ecause this contradicts di%ine lo%e.... (ence the criteria for the credi#ility of a doctrine can therefore al ays #e applied in relation to hat e$tent God*s lo%e& isdo' and po er the doctrine represents.... +nd this scrutiny can #e carried out #y a person at any ti'e ith God*s support1 it is )ust that the intellect should not dee' itself capa#le of it #y itself& for this still for's different )udg'ents for as long as God*s ad%ersary can still influence it& and he ill al ays interfere here the #ond ith God& the eternal Father& has not #een esta#lished as yet.... #ut hich ill #e esta#lished hen the hu'an #eing sincerely calls upon (i' for enlighten'ent through the spirit.

+fter all& this is a 'atter of truth& and e%erything shall #e done so that you hu'ans gain possession of truth& #ut you 'ust participate through your ill to kno the truth.... 2n that case you ill also turn to God of your o n accord ith an appeal to help you to 'ake a distinction #et een truth and error and to separate the'.... and you ill li%e in truth for as long as you alk ith God.... +'en
