Flipped Classroom Module As part of the graduation requirement for seniors at Clayton County Public Schools, every student

must complete a senior exit portfolio. The portfolio consists of writing and researching on health issues, colleges and careers. I will teach the students how to take their information and materials and put it into an online portfolio utilizing, Weebly. Students must also create a works cited page and a PSA. Standards
ELACC11-12W2: Writing informative/explanatory texts to examine and convey complex ideas, concepts, and information clearly and accurately through the effective selection, organization, and analysis of content. ELACC11-12W4: Produce clear and coherent writing ELACC11-12W6: Use technology, including the internet, to produce, publish, and update individual or shared writing products in response to ongoing feedback, including new arguments or information. ELACC11-12W7: Conduct short and sustained research. ELACC11-12W8: Gathering relevant information from multiple authoritative print and digital sources- avoid plagiarism ELACC11-12W9: Draw evidence from literary or informational texts ELACC11-12W10: Write routinely overextended time periods.

AASL Standards 1.1.8 Demonstrate mastery of technology tools for accessing information and pursuing inquiry. 2.1.6 Use the writing process, media and visual literacy, and technology skills to create products that express new understandings. 3.1.16 Use technology and other information tools to organize and display knowledge and understanding in ways that others can view, use and assess. Module 1 Students will view the podcast about creating a PSA for their health PSA requirement. The video is a great overview on how to get started and walks students through the process of creating a PSA with Windows Movie Maker. Then when class meets, I will work with them on creating their PSA based upon the information in the podcast. http://youtu.be/6xNobchvrZA

Module 2 Students will view the screencast on how to start their online portfolio using Weebly. Then when the class meets, I will go over with them how to begin building their pages and adding the necessary information to their site. Module 3 Students will look at the podcast about creating a works cited page in MLA format, which is a requirement of the senior exit portfolio. Then when the class meets, I will then show them how to take their works cited page and upload it to their Weebly site. http://youtu.be/lX38SFB_efg
