Flier
Description: Flier designed in Black & White to advertise a Graduate Leadership Conference. Process: First I designed many sketches seeking to find the proper layout that would be the most professional. Then I used my sketches to decide which would work best in my layout for Adobe InDesign. I sought to use the fading grey color scheme as repetition through the flier to help add some contrast to the white space. I chose to emphasize competitive edge so the audience knew what was a unique focus for this conference. I was provided the image, logo, and content for the flier. Message: Im seeking to attract recent graduates to come and learn some good leadership skills. I am betting on the fact that few graduates are ready to be leaders in our society, and this conference is going to assist them to make a leap into their college and professional career.

Audience: Immediate graduates that range from ages 22-35 years old. Instructor: Joel Judkins Course: Communicatons 130 Visual Media

Montage
Description: Porsche 911 Carrera GT3 RS set with an image of Saturn, as to appear that the car is driving between both worlds. Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): Photoshop was the only program used for this project. I learned new more advanced skills such as masking. I chose to use a photo of Saturn with its beauty and color contrast to the car. As well, I decided to find a prestine image of a Porsche that would be high class. This car was selected after a long search for its luxury look and amazing sports car package. I used a gradient masking on the Saturn picture so it would angle nicely from the back of the vehicle to the front. Utilizing the dimming colors to blend well with the direction of the car. Message: To drive a Porsche is to set you apart, as well as give you a whole new experience that is out of this world.

Audience: The wealthy that are looking for sports cars that they find unique and exciting. Instructor: Joel Judkins Course: Communications 130 Visual Media

Web Page
Description: Website featuring my logo designed for my Star Talent Agency Company. Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): I used Text Wrangler to design the infrastructure of my website. I used HTML 5.0 to design my website and formulate what I would want to be on my page. However, than as I figured out what I wanted everything to be said on the website and which images I would like displayed, I created a style sheet in CSS. I also used Text Wrangler to create and edit the CSS for this website through trial and error until I found a design that sent the message I desired. Message: I will be the third party connection to help all highly talented youth and young adults find their next step in life. Through connecting them with the agent that can make their dreams become a reality.

Event Ad
Description: A promotional event ad for a fundraiser created only using Microsoft Word and a scanner. Process: I had to discover what picture I would scan as a product promotion. Then I had to figure out and devise a good fundraiser that I would promote to make some money for the benefactors. The benefactors came as a bi product of the service being provided, and I felt its a need here in Rexburg, Idaho. I struggled to learn Microsoft Word to design the lay out and select a color scheme that would work well for the audience I was marketing. The spacing I felt was very important to allow the picture to not dominate the entire idea, but rather be a soft focal point for visual reference. Message: Im promoting a fundraiser to provide money to those that are financially struggling to buy their wedding dress. Audience: Couples on the BYU-Idaho campus that would like a cheap photo shoot from a professional photographer. People seeking to help another in need. Imaging
Description: Its a picture of the Rexburg LDS Temple from the parking lot. I chose the quote first from scripture, then I decided to find a solid picture to fit the idea. I chose the six circles on the side to represent eternity because they have no beginning or end. They also are resemble the six spires on the Salt Lake Temple and their symbolism. It has to do with the Priesthoods of God. I chose the Monochromatic Blue Scale for color scheme because it fit so well in contrast with the white temple. I have chosen grey background to help bring out the colors more fully of the image as well as design lay out, I preferred the grey space alone on the bottom to give balance to the business of the other sectors. Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): I learned how to use Photoshop to crop and edit the image I had taken on a school camera. I was able to take the photo on a very cold day with the wonderful sky. I learned how to crop and enhance the photo through trial and error. I didnt use any other programs to perform this project. Message: A message to men and women of BYUIdaho to keep themselves spiritually clean.

Audience: My intended audience is going to be that of the entire student body of Brigham Young University-Idaho specifically. However, its supposed to encompass the entire body of the church in preparation of the Second Coming of the our Lord and Savior. Instructor: Joel Judkins Course: Communications 130 Visual Media

Brochure
Description: I created a brochure for the Dream Dance Studios company. I designed the company idea for those that would like to learn creative dance styles and further their ability to express themselves. Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): I first did brainstorming for what I would enjoy about creating a brochure for which desired company idea. I then used Adobe Illustrator to create the design idea for the logo itself, then I imported that into my brochure in Adobe InDesign. I used Abode InDesign to create the entire brochure and learned how to do the set up and organization. Message: Professional and fun image for a Dance Studio that prides itself of a fun and desirable atmosphere for expression. Audience: Anyone desiring to learn beginner to expert dance styles. Instructor: Joel Judkins Course: Communications 130 Visual Media

Logos
Description: These are three separate logo designs that I came up with for a Exotic Car Leasing company. Process (Programs, Tools, Skills): First I thought of a niche in business that is seldom ventured into, which would be leasing luxury cars. So my companies name is titled, Exotic Auto Leasing. I then sketched up ideas in my notebook and thought of how I would come about creating a professional and simplistic logo that would be easily recognized. After that, I used Adobe Illustrator to create the logos and begin playing around with the skills we learned in class. Message: Driving Exotic cars is cheaper, easier, and professional. Audience: High class people that are looking to try new exotic cars frequently at a cheaper price. Instructor: Joel Judkins Course: Communications 130 Visual Media
