A summary of Uplink Eb/No requirements

Introduction In this section we present a summary of lab measurements of Node-b Uplink Eb/No requirements. The lab measurements were performed as part of project !"#$$%. The summary is presented for a ran&e of bearer rates under 'arious channel conditions. These 'alues are intended for use in dimensionin& and plannin& of U(T) networks as well as bid quotations when customers specifically ask for details of Node-b Eb/No requirements. Assumptions and how to use the data The data summarised in this section should be used in a way that is compatible with the framework of the followin& assumptions* Each 'alue quoted in this section is effecti'ely the lon& term a'era&e of the Eb/No measurement of a dedicated channel. !ecei'er di'ersity is enabled. Eb/No is measured per antenna and then a'era&ed o'er the main and di'ersity branches. +uter loop power control ,-E!% tar&et is constant .hannel multipath profile has a fi/ed tap delay pattern 0details below1. Eb/No calculation is accordin& to the 2344 standard document "#.%5% 6%7.

User Channel Conditions The measurements were performed under si/ different channel conditions. The channel conditions are presented in the followin& table.
