1 Exam Topics
The topics listed below may or may not be tested during the Alcatel-Lucent SRA Lab Exam; however candidates are responsible for ensuring that they are familiar with all of the topics below. Please note that any new features on the Alcatel-Lucent 7750 Service Router (SR) or the Alcatel-Lucent 7450 Ethernet Service Switch (ESS) become eligible for testing on the SRA Lab Exam once these features are generally available. The following is a list of the primary topics that candidates are expected to be familiar with before taking the SRA Lab Exam. Candidates should be able to configure, verify and troubleshoot any of the features listed below.

10 Exam Tips
The SRA Lab Exam is an eight-hour exam that covers a broad range of topics. The eight-hour time frame excludes a one-hour lunch break but includes any optional breaks that you would like to take. During the exam you will be allowed to access the soft copy of the product manuals only to use as reference material during the exam, if necessary. The product manuals will be accessible from the PC used to access all of the equipment that you need to configure during the exam. No other notes or text books or reference material are allowed during the exam. You will be provided with pen and paper during the exam. Electronic devices are not allowed into the examination room. The exam pass mark is 80%. You must complete some parts of the exam correctly in order to obtain full marks in later parts of the exam. Speed is essential for the successful completion of this exam. This can only be achieved through careful preparation before the exam and good time management techniques during the exam. Listed below are some tips to help students successfully prepare for and pass the SRA Lab Exam:

1. Ensure that you completely understand and are familiar with the configuration of
all the main features listed above for the Alcatel-Lucent 7750 Service Router and the 7450 Ethernet Service Switch. Review the student manuals of the prerequisite courses in the SRA track in order to become more comfortable with the material.

2. Different scenarios cover different technology areas. Each scenario is composed of tasks
and sub-tasks of varying levels of difficulty. Pace yourself so that you have enough time to cover all the major scenarios.

3. For each scenario a recommended time and mark allocation are provided to help you
manage your time.

4. If you are unclear about anything in the exam, ask the proctor for clarification. The exam
proctor will attempt to clarify anything that may be ambiguous; however do not expect the proctor to provide too much information during or after the exam.

5. Since speed is essential to the successful completion of the SRA Lab Exam, you are
reminded once again that it is critical that you get enough hands-on experience with the 7750 SR and the 7450 ESS so that you are completely familiar with the configuration and troubleshooting of all the main features on these devices.

6. Use troubleshooting tools to verify your solution as often as possible. 7. Save your configuration often; your exam mark will be based on your final configuration. 8. Relax and read each question very carefully. Be thorough in your solution, but remember
to pace yourself appropriately.
