After plugging the data cable into a USB port of a computer once or many times, the
system responds the warning message, “Restart the computer”. What to do next?
Please ignore this warning. You do not need to restart your computer.
After plugging the data cable into a USB port of a computer once or many times, the system
responds the warning “Unable to recognize new hardware”. What to do next?
Because the program for data cable is stored in flash memory, rapid plugging/unplugging may
cause bad communication between the program and Windows operating system, thus it can't be
recognized correctly. To solve this, please unplug the data cable and wait for a short period (about
3 minutes), then re-plug in to USB ports for operating systems to recognize it again.

Setting access rights for EasyCopyNet / EasySync / EasyMover / EasyMacCopy in the

Easy Suite program?
There is a “Setting” option in each program. After selecting it, you can set the access rights for
allowing the remote side (operating end) to copy and write files to the host (EasyCopy /
EasyMacCopy) or allowing the remote side (operating end) to grab files/settings from the host for
synchronizing and moving (EasySync / EasyMover).

For EasyCopy-Net application, when the data cable is switched to network mode, how
does it work in various operating systems?
(1) The computer which has the main Internet connection (by accessing ADSL, modem, wireless
or LAN) must have Windows 2000 or Windows XP installed. When switching to
network mode in Windows XP, the program will automatically setup the virtual IP (such as
192.168.0.X) and for Windows 2000, users have to manually set it up by following online user
manual.
(2) Computers running Windows 98SE or Windows ME cannot be the computers that have the
main Internet connection.
When the data cable for EasyCopy-Net is switched to network mode, IP 192.168.0.1 is
already taken. What to do next?
(1) In Windows XP, if a computer with IP 198.168.0.1 is already existed on the network, please
unplug the network cable which is connected to the 198.168.0.1 computer. After the program
finishes setting up, you can plug the network cable back.
(2) In Windows 2000, the network sharing has to be done manually, So if a computer with IP
198.168.0.1 is already existed on the network, please unplug the network cable and restore
to the original IP after network setup, and set to 192.168.0.2 for LAN IP in EasyCopy-Net.

Switching from network mode to transfer mode in EasyCopy-Net, it happens that the
network icon is disappeared in system tray (bottom-right corner), and there is no new
drive after plugging the data cable. What to do next?
(1) Restart the computer and re-plug in the data cable
(2) If it fails to switch back to transfer mode after restarting the computer and re-plug in the data
cable, you have to manually remove the network function, as described below:
A. Run network program from "C:\Program Files\ousbnic\ nicsw"
B. Switch again from network function in bottom-right corner to "Easy Copy – Net"

EasyMover's restrictions from operating systems?
