Cultural Fits By Bea Augustine All my favourite pastimes come with the added wording and the nuances

of the description of the event, trying not to be wordy and without using clever words for making the meaning more explicit or without trying to implicitly convey a subtlety of Bedeutungen (meanings). What I like is to simply enjoy my reading, at times, while not indulging with this in the additional layer of music, let`s say, in order to get to the substance of the style and disregard the distractions that come on our way. With the Bedeutungen, in our constant endeavour of addressing the target audience and of ascertaining whether we should use the jargon of the group or simply be as informal as it comes, sometimes we just vanish in the haze of the implications and possibilities that the ever-evolving means of communication could entice us to adopt. Proper styles of communication may vary depending on the audience that we address. Then, targeting the efforts should be no effort or the effort should not be the target of the effort, and of course, we are always trying to achieve the goal without too much crack. Cracks in the strategy should be no obstacle to the communicated results and results should be communicated in the case when the strategy is just not what the target would entail. Entailing further clarifications to the message and working on the wording is just not the case when the day-to-day goals are to be achievable. Trying to be concise is still what matters and basic matters are what need to be dealt with in advance and not disguised in special words, albeit we would be willing to appear well-versed and respectful to the reader. News comes this way and each one of us has the predilection to the specific style of communication, e.g. this (event) was a blast or rather, it was magnificent. Some of us have a bent for using gorgeous vocabulary and enjoying the benefits of coming across as noteworthy, while others simply want to indulge in their edgy surroundings and the culture of the new. Cultures vary from a person to another and what we often see is just the surfacing of another new trait of a situation or a person that we have never perceived. Discerning the new sometimes takes time and time, they say, is vital, for the plans that we might have and for the messages that we coin. Yes, life is about coining it and trying to achieve your set of objectives, when we have the topics of the day and when we want to be as sympathetic as it can be, without simply thinking of the bottom line. Still, coining life could be just the type of activity that is one`s favourite pastime, like I started this here, or it could well be the result of the type of life that we may have chosen on our way, when setting plans for, e.g enjoying a non-fast food meal or switching to low carb beverages. Changing oneself might be just something new or it might be the fruit of the overall change management that we read about so much. Then, it could be also about coining a new type of stereotype for ourselves and for our friends, to see whether we would fit into, without taking away the gratification of being simply what we are, provided that we can see the cultural fit between the two.
