Trusting God for More Miracles

Beginning late November we will be able to accept donations of certain used or new furniture. One refrigerator is still
needed, one gas stove and one water heater. Two kitchen tables /4 chairs, two more with 6+ chairs are also on the list.
Please no clothing or used linens. Kitchen wares for the four houses will be selected at Target registry and perhaps at Wal-
mart too. The names will be Matthew Smith Point, Mark Smith Point, Luke Smith Point, John Smith Point. Check it out Af-

Where do we go? A little commu-
nity 30 miles from Anahuac called
Smith Point. It takes about 2 hours
driving from Houston area.
When do we go? Trips are on Sat-
urdays, we meet at the Fire Depart-
ment in Smith Point at 9AM.
What do we do? We work on
houses, painting, putting in sheet-
rock, putting up insulation and sid-
ing. There is work for all skill levels.
How do we get there? We drive,
carpool, or take church vans. Take
I-10 east over the Trinity River and
exit on TX 61 - exit 811. go right and
- G e n e r a l I n f o r m a t i o n
then head south for 30 miles following
the signs. Go left on Plummer Camp
Rd, , VFD on left.
What do we eat? Lunch is served at
the Fire Station. It’s fun to get to-
gether and take a lunch break.
Are the sites modern? Yes, there is
electricity. Yes, there are bathrooms.
A/C only at lunch. Lots of mosquitoes.
When do we go home? We work
until we are too tired to work any more,
until the job is done, or until it is dark.
Usually get home by 6PM.
What do I bring? Tool needs are
posed on the web site a few days
before the trip. Bring snacks, water,
tool box, and any special tools
needed if you have them.
Who goes? Men and women, boys
and girls , teens, seniors, everybody
can help.
Community service hours for vari-
ous clubs and schools are awarded
for a day’s work. Please bring your
forms so they can be signed there.
Mosquitoes have been thick this fall.
Bring heavy-duty spray and use it as
soon as you arrive ant often during
the day.

We are getting bigger. October 17 will be our biggest trip yet. Starting with this trip workers under
21 years old will be asked to fill out forms to help in case you are injured on a work trip. The forms
will protect Anahuac Comeback and the Church from the possibility of law suits, and it will provide a
way for you to give permission to be treated if there is an emergency. Please don’t start work be-
fore you have turned in the completed forms. Rudy and Marcia Lee can email the forms to you.
This is very important!
