Tuesday, April 1, 2014 Jeremy Vincell, Jackson, Ronnie Alonzo Anderson-Williams, Jamare Lanell Rucker Charged in connection with the murder of a CVS guard and the carjacking of three women. Today the defendants were bound over as charged to Third Circuit Court; the arraignment on the information is on April 8, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. Jerrel Files Convicted of murdering a Checker Cab Driver in front of a home on Goulburn Street in Detroit. Today Judge Talon sentenced Files to Life in Prison without Parole for First Degree Felony Murder; 33 to 50 years for Second Degree Murder, two years for Felony Firearm.

Wednesday, April 2, 2014 Carlos Love & Dantrez Oliver-McClung Charged in connection with the March 5, 2014 sexual assault of a woman at an apartment building located in the 21600 block of Jason. Today both defendants were bound over on four counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct First Degree and four counts of Assault with Intent to Penetrate. The arraignment in circuit court is scheduled for April 9, 2014. -more-

Thursday, April 3, 2014 Fr. Timothy Kane and Dorreca Brewer Both defendants are alleged to have taken money from the Catholic Archdiocese Angel Fund. Today both defendants were arraigned on the information before Judge Margie Braxton, who stood in for Judge David Groner. Dorreca Brewers presence was waived by the court today because the attorney representing her said she was confused about the court dates. The defendants asked for a jury courtroom and will now be before Judge Bruce Morrow for the calendar conference scheduled for April 11, 2014. Robert Bashara Grosse Pointe Park man charged with killing his wife. His pre-trial hearing is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. tomorrow before Judge Vonda Evans. Timothy Wafer Dearborn Heights man charged with shooting Renisha McBride on his front porch. His final conference and motion hearings are scheduled for 9:00 a.m. before Judge Qiana Lillard.

Friday, April 4, 2014 Robert Bashara Grosse Pointe Park man accused of killing his wife. Today defense attorneys David Cripps and Gabi Silver withdrew from representing the defendant due to a potential conflict of interest. New representation was not appointed by the court today. Defense attorney Lillian Diallo continues to represent Bashara. The next court date is scheduled for April 15, 2014. Theodore Wafer Dearborn Heights man charged in the fatal shooting of Renisha McBride. Today Judge Qiana Lillard denied the defense motion for the judge to recuse herself. The matter was appealed by the defense to the Judge Timothy Kenny, Chief Judge of the Criminal Division. He has scheduled April 25, 2014 for the next court date on this matter. Charles Jones Convicted in the homicide of high school student Jerean Blake. His sentence hearing before Judge Richard Skutt has been adjourned from Monday, April 7, 2014 until April 18, 2014 at 8:30 a.m.
