Give the purpose for creating the workshop.

Common Core Standards
o Common Core Standards is another type of education reform that is being
reinforced in our schools.
o The purpose of Common Core is to prepare students for success in college and/or
the 21st century workplace. The standards have been adopted in 44 states and are
integrated in English Language Arts, mathematics, science, history/social studies,
and Career and Technology subjects.

Digital Storytelling Process
o Brainstorm ideas
o Plan the project using a story board.
o Organize folders for music, video and images and gather media.
o Record the Voice Narration
o Create the scenes using a digital story software or Web 2.0 tool.
o Gather & cite media resources.

Credits
o End the presentation with a slide that says: Thank You and that contains credits
for the presentation.

Questions/Comments/Evaluation
Ask participants if they have any questions or comments.
Next ask participants to complete a short survey that contains questions relating to
the workshop objectives and to rate the effectiveness of the workshop.

Conclude presentation and thank everyone for participating.
