Research Experience
Howard Hughes Medical Institute High School Scholars Program at the University of Miami Summer 2013
Throughout the past summer I worked on a bioengineering research project entitled - Effects of Contralateral Masking on High-Rate Late Latency Auditory Evoked Potentials at the University of Miami. I worked with EEG programs, data analysis software in MATLAB, as well as important information about human involvement in scientific research. I studied subjects using electroencephalography as per Internal Review Board protocol to determine effects of various acoustical conditions on human AEP responses. This endeavor culminated in a presentation and research paper submitted to the HHMI, in which I detailed how a peak in the electrical response was significantly depressed by masking the sound on one ear. Internship with Dr. Kevin Huffenberger at the University of Miami 2012-2013
Mentored in studying the cosmic microwave background as well as created my own color-color diagrams using Python. Studied WISE (Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer) data and studied documentation on HEALPix. Internship at Lemniscate Innovations 2013- to date.
Studying the optimization of pHs and concentrations in order to optimize the spherification reaction required in molecular gastronomy.
Co-founder and Managing Director of Jnana Inc - a globally recognized social organization that serves to share knowledge by creative educational activities for students in developing countries. Fund raising activities have been conducted in Miami and educational workshops have been held in India and El Salvador to share knowledge to over 300 primary and middle school student. Educational activities include experiments in electricity and magnetism, workshops in debate and creative writing, as well as in urban development. Partnerships have been developed with organizations such as Maitri (Pune, India), CAFRED (San Salvador, El Salvador), and the International School of Monagas (Venezuela), with added contacts growing in Honduras as well as the Organization of American States (OAS). Proofathon (www.proofathon.org) 2013-to date.
Manager of an online proof-based mathematics competition that serves to bring proof writing and logical thinking to students across the globe. Proofathon has had multiple competitions with interest growing on social networking sites as well as the website www.proofathon.org. Proofathon has tentative communication with Wolfram Alpha for sponsorship of licenses of Mathematica / Wolfram Pro for winners of Proofathon, as a result of contacts I established. Yet another sponsor is Brilliant.org, a mathematics forum-style website. IB Academy Student Government 2013-2014

Member and secretary of the Mu Alpha Theta, have tutored over one hundred students in mathematics ranging from simple algebra to calculus. I also help plan competitions for the club
Extra-Curricular Activities:
Western Classical Music (Piano): Since 2008 have been learning Piano and have competed in the Piano Guild and the National Federation of Music Clubs exams, gaining a superior every time I participated. Speech and Debate Club (Organizational Committee): After founding the Debate Club at my middle school, my interests in eloquent speaking led to my involvement in high school clubs to further my own abilities, including Speech and Debate Club in high school, of which I am in the organizational committee and have competed in Novice and Varsity Public Forum tournaments. I work to plan tournaments for the club along with mock debates for new members
