1. HANDKERCHIEF
Well, I must admit I own one. This handkerchief basically is very essential to me as a
student because this can serve several purposes. This can be use as a fashionable head
accessory. However, more than just a decorative accessory, this is very essential for my
personal hygiene such as wiping my hands or face every after washing, a sunlight protection
while going to school, a wiper when my body sweat-off, or even a cover to my nose against
air pollution. This may look a small piece of thing, but I consider this essential to us and
each of us student must own one.
2. PHILIPPINE FLAG
I guess everyone would agree with me if I say that most of us take for granted our
national flag. To be honest, I myself have somehow forgotten the true sense and meaning of
what our flag means. But as I came along with this question, Ive realized that among the
things that should be essential to us student is our Philippine flag. It symbolizes our freedom,
nationalism, and patriotism. That sometime in our history, brave Filipino men died for the
sake of our country. Now, I am confident that everytime I see our flag hanging, waving its
blue and red and white colors, I can proudly say that this is very essential to me as a student
and as a Filipino.
3. TRANSPORTATION
The world that we live in now will most likely be impossible if not because of
innovations in transportation. There would not have been any great infrastructure,
industrialization, or massive production, if transportation was incompetent. In other words,
the global society would not have experienced comfort and convenience had it not been for
advancements in the transportation sector. For a student like me, transportation would
simply means a bicycle, a pedicab, tricycle, jeepney, etc. just enough for me to be at school
on time. I dont have to worry anymore about walking long distances and waking up very
early so I dont get late. The advent in transportation has paved a way for me and for all of
us that going to school is convenient, comfortable and accessible after all.

4. TELEVISION
Television has pros and cons and it depends upon the user or viewer. However, for a
student just like me who is hungry for knowledge and information, television is a thing I
cant live without. TV provides educational programs that introduces to knowledge. As I
have seen, television offers me a wide range of valuable programs and content and serves
many purposes in my daily life as a student. It can contribute positively to the education of
us students and it will continue to have a strong influence to us for many years to come.
5. COMPUTER
We live in a society of endless advances in technology. Computer technology has
introduced many of the tools which facilitated learning. For example, the use of computer
allows me to do research for my assignments, projects, term papers and the like in a very
convenient and faster way.
Likewise, computer also serves as useful tool for
communications. That means through computer, I can communicate to my love ones very
fast, accurate, convenient and on real-time. Computer has made things that were impossible
before, as possible now. Far beyond glamour and wealth, I believe that computer is more of
a necessity nowadays.
6. DICTIONARY
As a student, dictionary is very essential to me. Though its hard to admit, I guess
that most of us need to expand our grammar usage, word power, spelling, vocabulary and
pronunciation. This can be aid through the use of dictionary from time to time. So
remember to bring a dictionary with you all the time.
7. IDENTIFICATION CARD
Identification card is very essential to me simply because I cant get inside the school
premise without it, as the saying goes No ID, No Entry. Kidding aside, ID has help
schools create a secure learning environment for us students. Outsiders who have all the
intention of breaking in the school could not do so. Additionally, discount in transportation
can be availed of if proper identification card is being presented.
8. PRAYER
Prayer is very essential to me because everything I do starts well and ends well
everytime I do my prayer. It feels like everything is a mess if I dont start the day with
prayer. Praying is a life for me and if I dont, I seem lifeless because its the only way I
could talk to God and lay down to Him all my concerns. Thats how prayer is important or
essential to me.
