Safeguarding and Protecting Children is seen as an essential course to complete that enables you to
effectively and safely start coaching. The course will increase your awareness of safeguarding and
protecting children. Helping you to recognise the signs of abuse and poor practice, and how to sensitively
deal with the issues that arise. On completion you will be able to:

This course enables you to review and update your knowledge and awareness of safeguarding and
protecting children. You'll have the opportunity to share best practice and learn from each other's
experiences to help you create a positive, child"centered sporting environment.
This is aimed at coaches needing to update their safeguarding training, who should have previously
attended the initial Safeguarding and Protecting Children course.

How to Coach DisabIed PeopIe in Sport (scUK)
This course will aim to answer all the commonly asked questions about disabled participants in sport and
how you set up coaching sessions to suit their needs. You will be shown how to plan, set up and adjust
sessions to make your coaching more accessible and effective. On completion you will be able to:

Supporting Coaches: A Guide to Recruiting, DeveIoping and Retaining Coaches
This scUK workshop looks at helping clubs recruit, develop and retain coaches and is aimed at coaching
co"ordinators, head coaches or club officials. The workshop is certificated and you will be given numerous
tools and templates including identify methods and good practice to recruit coaches, recognise the
importance of developing coaches and explore the tools to use, and appreciate how successful coach
support can help retain coaches.
Teaching CurricuIum PE in Primary SchooIs
Do you know the difference between coaching and teaching? What do Ofsted expect Outstanding teaching to look like?
How do you accurately measure progress? This session will support coaches to become better at teaching in primary
PE lessons by learning: how to effectively support teachers, components of what makes a lesson good / outstanding
and assessment and progress tracking techniques. Based on years of teaching and consultancy experience in schools
and referencing the most recent Ofsted inspection handbook " the content of this theory only course will empower
coaches to become more effective and confident practitioners in a primary school environment.

Emergency and Community First Aid (3hr & 4hr courses)
This intensive course will introduce you to the first aid techniques and provide you with the basics of life
