It also explains where to find more information and tips. Tekla Structures 15.0 is designed to work on Windows XP and Windows Vista. Those versions of Tekla Structures that use the FLEXnet licensing system work also on 64-bit Windows operating systems. However, the program is still run in 32-bit mode, which means that the maximum virtual memory address space for Tekla Structures is 4 GB. If you are running Windows NT or 2000, we recommend that you upgrade to a newer version of Windows. Tekla no longer supports Windows NT and 2000, and cannot guarantee that Tekla Structures 15.0 will work correctly on those platforms. Microsoft has also stopped supporting Windows NT and 2000. Tekla Structures 15.0 does not work on Windows 95, 98, or ME.
Working with existing models

About readme Compatibility

You can open models created in older versions of Tekla Structures, Tekla Xsteel or Tekla Xengineer using Tekla Structures 15.0. Once you save a model in Tekla Structures 15.0, you cannot open it in Tekla Structures 14.1 or older versions of Tekla Structures, in Tekla Xsteel or Xengineer. To uninstall Tekla Structures 15.0 in Windows XP, use the Add/Remove Programs option in the Windows Control Panel. To uninstall Tekla Structures 15.0 in Windows Vista, use the Programs and Features option in the Windows Control Panel.

Uninstalling

When you have installed the latest version of Tekla Structures 15.0, do not use the Add/Remove Programs or Programs and Features option to remove possible earlier installations of this version, if the installations are located in the same folder. If you do this, you will lose important files and Tekla Structures 15.0 will not function correctly.
