Resuscitation
When you come across someone who is unconscious and looks like they have been involved in an accident there is a procedure that you should follow. We will now go over the basic and you will be tested in 2 weeks.

DRSABCD
DRSABCD stands for:
D Danger
Check for danger to yourself, followed by bystanders & casualty. Can whatever caused the problem, harm you or others too?

S Send for Help


Call 000 Provide as much information as you can

R Response
Assess the level of consciousness Check if the casualty is conscious by ask questions ad squeezing their shoulders

A Airways
Check, clear and then open airways (head tilt/chin lift) Open the mouth and look inside for any obstructions. If it is a water related situation, roll them onto their side & remove any foreign matter by scooping downwards with fingers. B - Breathing
Check breathing: look listen and feel (10 seconds) Look down the chest, listen for breath and feel it on your cheek. Rest your hand on the persons diaphragm and feel for breathing If no signs of life, start CPR. If the casualty is breathing but not unconscious, place in the recovery position and monitor ABC. See emergency assistance.

C - Compression
If no signs of life, commence CPR. 30 compressions : 2 breaths Signs of life?
Signs of breathing Cough Move Vomit Consciousness Responsiveness

D - Defibrillation
Attach an AED as soon as possible Follow the directions of the AED
Defibrillation is a process in which an electronic device gives an electric shock to the heart. This helps re-establish normal contraction rhythms in a heart having dangerous arrhythmia or in cardiac arrest.

Recovery Position
1. Position casualty's arms: kneel beside casualty place farther arm at right angles to body place nearer arm chest. 2. Position casualty's legs: lift nearer leg at knee so it is fully bent upwards. 3. Roll casualty into position: roll casualty away from you on to side while supporting head and neck. 4. Prevent casualty from rolling on to face: keep leg at right angles with knee touching ground.

This box (like below) will appear. This is where you will insert the words/phrases that you wish to include in your Wordle.

As seen below some words have been entered. In order to make words bigger in the Wordle. You need to copy and paste the words. Think of a ratio in your head so that you can visualise how it will turn out. If some words are too small or too large you can just click the back button and edit this.
