We greet you all in the wonderful name of ^ Christ our Lord, and we thank you for your prayers and support. I was saddened this week to receive a call from David Jantjies of our MACASSAR congregation, who told me that his sister had passed away following a Caesarian operation. This
was her third child. Please keep the family in your prayers.
South Africa is in the midst of rapid change as she moves

headlong towards elections, but our main concern is for the kingdom of God, because our primary citizenship is there.
Brother Ivan Clark of BELLVILLE has asked me to speak at their REVIVAL MEETINGS from March 19 - 27 on the theme: "God's

Plan of SaT4?a44-on."

PI ease pray for^ theae ^nestings.

Franklin Visser, a former Bible student of mine at our Lunch-time studies at the Farmer's Co-op, is now across the mountains at WORCESTER, and plans to enter full-time ministry.

My Bible Summary, "Straight Talk from God", is now at the book of REVELATION after 7 years of work. I have received permission from Tyndale to use the Living Bible, and from J.S. Baxter to use Explore the Book. My market is Young People,
which makes the book somewhat advanced from Children's Bible Stories. This is not another Bible version. It is not meant

to replace the Bible, but should be used in conjunction with it. Your comments and corrections are most welcome. Brother Hugh

Weber has already suggested a change in Romans, which I've made. I have two people busy putting this on diskettes, and am hoping to get a PC later this year -- Price: about 31,000.00. Your
gifts towards this would be most welcome.

At a recent Wednesday meeting in GREENHAVEN I brought a message on I PETER. Since it has 5 chapters, one of the brothers commented: "We really had a 5-course meal here tonight."

In PORTLAND on Monday I brought a study on the book

of JUDE, using my Bible Summary.

1.17 But you, dear friends, need to remember the warnings that the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ already gave us. 1.18 "In this final age," they said, there will be people
who ridicule the faith, and serve only their own lusts. These people cause splits in the church; Their minds are in the gutter, and they are controlled by their lower natures. They don't have the Spirit of God.

1.20 So my friends, keep building your lives on the foundation of our faith which leads to wholesome living, and learn to pray in the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. Live in the atmosphere of God's love, looking
forward to that great day when our Lord Jesus in his

mercy will usher you into the realm of life everlasting. 1.22 Some people are confused and uncertain which way to go. Be kind to them, guide them, and encourage them
in the right way.

Still others are so deep in sin, and so contaminated by evil, that there's a real danger that they'll drag you down with them. So pity them, but be
very careful. Help them to find the Lord, but watch out that they don't pull you down into their sins. Love them as sinners, but hate every trace of their sin.

1.24 And now, to the One who is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless in the presence of his glory with loud shouts of excitement and joy, to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, now and for all eternity. AMEN.

J've just returned from a trip to Macassar. I brought a message on Thessalonians, and had a time of
prayer with the family. Sister Jantjies said, "I was so happy to see you that I even forgot my daughter had passed away." This is one of those precious moments that make being a missionary so worthwhile.

I have been called to speak at Lentegeur this Lord's Day, and also to bring messages at their camp over the
Easter week-end. Alice Cloete, one of the members there, donated one of her kidneys to her brother, who recently underwent a critical operation.

Lord willing, Martha and I will be in the States during APRIL AND MAY 1995. I have been asked to officiate at my younger daughter's wedding in L.A., and we also plan to stop at Las Vegas, Dallas, Minneapolis, Wisconsin, Chicago and Miami, visiting friends and churches in and around
those areas more details later.

I have been sick with Bronchitis this week, and so have

postponed 4iiy-next -visit ta 6REENHAVEN unt44next-llednesday-, when I hope. Lord willing, to bring messages from II PETER and the book of JUDE. JUDE is a pivotal book in the Bible,

because it highlights what God's word has been telling us about all along that there is a tremendous battle going on between the forces of good and evil. Jude, following on from ROMANS 1-8, draws the clear lines of demarcation, amd stresses our need to keep up the struggle. Then comes Revelation with the grand and thrilling climax GOOD WILL
TRIUMPH IN THE END!i.'

From my summary of Revelation - the letter to LAODICEA:

3.14 This message comes from the Rock of Ages, who guarantees that every word of God is true the one who brought all of
God's creation into existence.

3.15 I know all about you you're neither on fire for me, nor do you turn a cold shoulder to me. I really wish you'd
go one way or the other, but you don't care about me at all.
You make me sick!

3.17

You say:
3 -

"We've got a great church here in Laodicea. We've got one of the finest buildings in town, and our preacher Boy\ he
can really deliver a message like you never heard. The best

people in Laodicea are members of our congregation.

we're richly blessed indeed!"

Yes,

You don't even realize how wretched and pitiful you are destitute, blind and naked! You need gold from me

gold purified in fire that's the only way to really be rich. And while you're at it, you'd better pick up some white clothes as well clean and pure then you won't

have to roam around stark naked any more. Oh, and don't forget some eye-drops. That'll help you see where you're going, so you won't go stumbling back into sin again. 3.19 Now don't get all huffed up by what I'm saying to
you. If I didn't really love you, I wouldn't bother to

steer you right. You're heading for big trouble, and you'd better realize it right now. So come on snap out of it, and start getting excited about the things of God the
things that really count in life!

3.20 Look, here I am, right in front of you. I've been standing at your heart's door all the time knocking, and calling your name. If you'd only hear me, and open your heart to me, I'd come right in. I'd share whatever you have, and I'd give you everything I've got. I'd stay with
you, and never leave you and you and I would become
partners for life.

3.21

Win this battle, and I'll even share my eternal throne

with you, just as I won my battle against Satan, and took my

place with my Father on his throne.

3.22 You have ears, don't you? Well then, open them up, and listen to what the Spirit is telling you!

ROCKLANDS in the sprawling township of Mitchell's Plain in Cape Town was the scene of a Revival Meeting. The theme was the SERMON ON THE MOUNT, and it was enthusiastically received by all who came. GREETINGS to all of you from what is now the NEW SOyjH AFRICA -- still struggling with violence, crime, strikes and Taxi Wars; but with a united, non-racial political approach, which is as refreshing as it is positive. Martha and I hope that you are all well in body, mind and spirit, and we trust that God is blessing you, guiding you and filling you with His Holy Spirit.

LENTEGEUR has been the scene, on^Sunday mornings, of a series of messages on the book of REVELATION a book rich with blessings for all of us, and so important
for our time.

THANK YOU, each and every one, for your

prayers for our ministry here in CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA.

You will never really know how much you help us, so many miles away across the sea, by your prayers on our behalf. Our thanks also to those of you who help to supply our needs by your support. And you must never think that it is too little. Beverly from Michigan regularly sends us 25 a month. That 25 exchanges to 17 Rand 50 cents in South Africa -- buying enough "petrol" to take me thru to Mitchell's

Plain and back to Edgemead again. Qod bless you Beverly.

STRAIGHT TALK FROM GOD, my Living Bible Summary, has received another pre-publication boost. Ron Beers, Editorial Vice President of Tyndale House,
writes;

"Your proposal is very intriguing, and once we get the NEW LIVING BIBLE off the ground, your idea may be worth looking at. What makes your proposal unique is that.it is your own summary of the Scriptures There are many products coming out that are condensed versions of the Bible. But I like the way you have summarized the verses, and even added some poetry. You really do have a wonderful product." The book is now being keyed into a computer,
with the Old Testament section as far as DANIEL, and the New Testament up to ROMANS. May I ask you please to pray for this project, that God's Word may reach many lives, and that His name may be glorified. OUR TRIP TO THE STATES FROM April 15, 1995 to May 17, 1995 is still in the planning stages. We have received some responses, for which we are very thankful, and we are trusting that more responses will come from our personal requests on the back of this newsletter. Timothy has kindly offered to drive
Martha and me through Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa,
Illinois and Indiana -- which will be a tremendous

help. May we ask you please to pray that God will guide us in these plans, and supply our financial
needs.
OUR BIBLE STUDIES in PORTLAND continue on '

Monday evenings. Lastweek our message was on the subject of COUNSELLING. We are living in an age of increasing tension and problems. Stress has led many people to the brink of despair. Christian counselling is desperately needed to guide people through the difficult times in their lives. We discussed counselling in regard to problems, salvation, sickness and death, and ended with a Scripture reading from JAMES 5. At the end of the meeting we had a time of counselling and prayer.

CAMP TIME is rapidly approaching once again as the Southern Hemisphere hots up. We are

planning to organize another Christian Camp for the Cape area during the summer season, and are trusting
the Lord to bless us with more opportunities for teaching and preaching.

GREENHAVEN BIBLE STUDIES on Wednesday evenings are now covering the Gospel of John, using
the Introduction and text from "STRAIGHT TALK'.' We

are tremendously encouraged by the enthusiastic response from the brethren there (they actually clap their hands
and shout "AMEN" after the messages), as well as their generous support of 100 Rand each week. God is really blessing that group, even though they have to meet in
a school classroom.
