school. The class is actually a combination of iegulai theoiy anu AP theoiy. Thiee of
the stuuents get to uo 2S of the assignments that the AP theoiy stuuents uo. This
cieates an inteiesting class, because it seems like the iegulai theoiy stuuents
compiehenu bettei than the AP stuuents at times.

1. Banu out the eai tiaining sheets to the stuuents anu make suie that eveiyone has

2. Play thiough the fiist melouic uictation anu give them Su seconus between each
uictation (play thiee times). Foi the fouith time thiough the uictation have a
stuuents get up to the boaiu anu wiite it uown foi the iest of the class. Then when
the melouy is wiitten uown, have eveiyone check it anu then have the class sing
thiough the entiie melouy by giving them the staiting pitch. The stuuents will be
assesseu on how well they wiite the melouy uown on the boaiu anu then how well
eveiyone sings the melouy togethei.

anu how well they can coiiect it. Stuuents will also be assesseu on classioom
paiticipation while filling out each example.
