Abstract: In radar and space communication applications patch antennas have

attracted much interest due to their compactness and dual-frequency operation. They are inexpensive to fabricate, light in weight, and can be made conformable with planar and no- planar surfaces. This paper presents the design of a slit slot dual-band micro-strip patch antenna using IE3D for wireless communication .The antenna is designed as a patch with two slots. The method effectively obtains the geometric parameters for efficient antenna performance. The simple rectangular dual-band Micro-strip patch antenna is simulated with IE3D.We analyzed micro strip antenna in IE3D by finite moment of method. The proposed antenna design on different-2 positions of slots in geometry1,geometry2,geometry3 and analyzed result between 1GHz to 15GHz,When the proposed antenna design on a 125 mil RT DUROID 5870 substrates with dielectric constant of 2.33and loss tangent of .0005.The modified antenna offers much improved bandwidth and reduce the size of antenna. Geometry 2 gives enhance bandwidth up to 44%. The optimization of geometry 2give better result fromTable-1 and enhance bandwidth for C Band for center frequency 5GHz (32%) and for center frequency 7GHz (21%).all simulation for dual band shown in Table -1.

1. Introduction:
Recent developments in communication systems such as the global positioning systems (GPS), Wireless local network (WLAN), vehicular Satellite communication and wireless communications often require antennas with compact size, low cost and capable of operating more than one band of frequencies. M. T. Islam, N. Misram, M. N. Shakib, and M. N. A.Zamri [6] proposed study of Circularly Polarized Micro strip Patch Antenna increase the bandwidth of proposed antenna obtained is 27% (2.14-2.81GHz) at -10 dB Return Loss. A A Deshmukh and G Kumar [1] proposed compact L Shape patch broadband Microstrip antenna experimentally increase bandwidth up to 13.7%. Z M Chen [9] further increase bandwidth of this antenna up to 23.7% - 24.43%. Ahmed H.Reja [2] proposed Study of Micro Strip Feed Line Patch Antenna experimentally increase the Return Loss -33.6dB at 2.5GHz frequency and VSWR is 1.5 by using CAD (Microwave office 2000 version 3.22) for RT DUROID 5880. Santanu Kumar Behera and Y. Choukiker [8] proposed Design and Optimization of Dual Band Micro Strip Antenna using Practical the return loss for dual band Frequency at 2.4GHz is -43.95dB and at 3.08GHz is -27.4dB. K F Lee [3] proposed U Shape slot shorting post small size Microstrip Antenna and increase bandwidth up to 42%. S C Gao [7] used uniplanar photonic band gap structure for enhancing band width and gain. M Khodier [5] New wideband stacked microstrip antennas for enhancing band width. Major issue for micro strip antenna is narrow Bandwidth.

5. Final Results and Discussion:

The inset feed and the two slots used to design the dual band rectangular Micro-strip patch Antenna. The patch antenna was designed with operating frequencies of 5GHz, with a dielectric constant (r) of 2.33 and fed with a 50 probe feeding. This optimized antenna is simulated using IE3D. The simulated return loss curves are shown in Figure 1. It shows a maximum return loss at 5GHz is -37.99dB and at 8GHz is -13.09dB.

6. Conclusions:
The design optimization of a dual slot patch antenna has been presented and discussed. It has been shown that with correct selection of slot dimensions and positions, a dual frequency response can be achieved. With this antenna, we get much improved bandwidth this design is obtained method, with IE3D. The use of a planar feed presents significant advantage as it allows easier integration with associated microwave circuitry and can also be easily extended for incorporation into antenna arrays. All significantly improved in Bandwidth shown in Table -1.
