Introduction Penn $tate .ni ersity3s Emergency E acuation Plan has been designed to assist facility personnel in the creation of a system for protection of life and property in the e ent of a fire4 e5plosion4 spill or other emergency re1uiring building e acuation* This plan is designed as a template for customi6ation and may be used by (or- units (ho are re1uired by regulations to ha e such a plan* It is recommended that all uni ersity buildings that are normally occupied ha e an Emergency E acuation Plan* %ote that the &rac'eted &old parts o( the plan need to &e customi)ed* Implementation Guidelines and Instructions In coordination (ith the unit $afety Officer4 the Budget E5ecuti es and Budget &dministrators shall designate a Building"#epartment Emergency Coordinator and &lternate Building"#epartment Emergency Coordinator for the facility* The Building"#epartment Emergency Coordinator4 in coordination (ith the unit safety officer shall: Customi6e the te5t and appendices of the plan to your facility* Be responsible for plan custody4 storage and annual re ie( and update* Ensure that training is pro ided for all building occupants*
