Surat Al-Kfirn

Intro o Kaafirun [plural] literarily means disbelievers o Recite this Surah before you go to bed o Narration: It is equal to the quarter of the Quran [at-Tirmidhi 2818/A] o Sheikh Al alBani: If you shall turn to your bed, recite al Kaafirun, because it will keep away from shirk o When Prophet SAW mentioned about shirk in most of his speech, he would always mentioned shirk and kuffar together o Kuffar is complete denial 1. completely out of fold of Islam 2. climbing up towards kufar 3. small kufar: anything where Prophet SAW mentioned any deed/talk/action/speech which involve with disobedience to Allah and His Messenger ie; killing someone o While shirk has minor and major shirk

This (surah) is the declaration of disassociation [from Allah and His Messenger] (Baraa-a) Prophet SAW said; two rakaah before fajr is better than the world and everything in it [at-Tirmidhi] Salah Sunat maghrib (al kafirun and surah al Ahad) and witr are sunnah Muakkadah [emphasized sunnah] Surah revealed in Makkah

Ayah 1 Say, "O disbelievers, Yaa is used to give attention to whomever you refer to Kufr means al ghitaa' in Arabic means to cover something Islamically, Kufr refers to something/someone against what Allah has prescribed Iman of the person is not complete unless he believes Allah completely and denies anything against the worship of Allah Kufar has two types a. Kufr Akbar (major kufr) Fold out of religion Eternal life in Hell-fire It could be by your saying, deeds, doubt of Allah, leaving worship and not practicing it 5 types i. Takdib "I do not believe or deny that whatever Prophet SAW told is correct"-- outwardly or inwardly

Who else is more oprseed than somebdy who talks about Allah (lie) and deny the truth which Allah has sent? Isn't jahannam place for this kufar? ii. Ikbar wal-istiqbar Deny something as you feel it will humiliate you if you accept it Ex: Iblis did not prostrate to Allah when He ordered all His creations to do so iii. Al-Shakr aka ad-thon Having doubt Not having firm belief Evidence/example from Surah al Kahf ayah 35-38 iv. I'rad To turn away from something (deen/Islam) Turn away not wanting to learn it, think about it (what Prophet Muhammad saw brought to us) and similar action Ie: the more you learn (seek knowledge of Allah), the more you feel burden. This is the trick of shaytan v. An-Nifaq Having hypocrisy in the belief, not action Ie: mingle with Muslim showing he is a Muslim but in his heart, he disbelieved [Allah will seal their heart from knowing the truth] b. Asghar (Minor kufr) It weakens the iman Ulama used the term a kufr which is lower than another kufr It doesn't fall into akbar kufr but it considers a major sin If one enters Jahannam (temprariyly) because of it, he still get shafaat from Prophet, mukminin and angels Evidence: they realized the blessing of Allah but still deny it and most of them are "the small kufr"

Ayah 2 I do not worship what you worship. Ayah 3 Nor are you worshippers of what I worship. This is a news that you do not worship what I worship Ayah 4 Nor will I be a worshipper of what you worship. This surah is repetitious Ayah 5 Nor will you be worshippers of what I worship. This is more than a news.

They (kufr) made a deal to worship Allah for a year and asked Prophet SAW to worship their religion in return. Prophet SAW rejected the offer This method of aqeedah is not flexible!

Ayah 6 For you is your religion, and for me is my religion. Allah swt said you have your religion that do not worship Allah swt alone May Allah make us among righteous and reunite us in Jannatul Firdaws, ameen.
